quote:

While Chris LaCivita, a senior Trump adviser who was recently tapped as campaign manager alongside political strategist Susie Wiles, stopped short of announcing Trump’s endorsement of McGuire, he put Good on notice. “Bob Good won’t be electable when we get done with him,” LaCivita said in a text message.

Now why would the Trump campaign be trying to primary the chairman of the house freedom caucus?

quote:

“I’ve supported President Trump 2016 and in 2020, and I would enthusiastically support President Trump if he was the nominee again,” Good said. “But I endorsed Gov. DeSantis back in May because I believed, as I do now, that we need eight years of conservative leadership, and I believe that Gov. DeSantis gives us the best chance to win a general election. And I believe that the job that he did in Florida is the model for the country.”

The militant arm of the GOP brings me so much joy and there needs to be a whole apparatus behind it.

You can't go into these firefights with a slingshot and expect to be successful.

Trump and his team have continually call out these people and everyone says “why would Trump do that?”, yet pretty much everyone he calls out ends up being a wolf in sheep’s clothing. People need to understand that are on the outside looking in, that Trump and team have been in the fire and know this time around they can’t just trust someone. That burnt him last time, he tried to give those people a benefit of a doubt and it bit him in the arse. They ain’t fricking around this time, he knows he has a lot to prove this time around about who he puts around him. Plus he’s pretty damn good at setting people up so they show their true colors. They know who excepted money and bribes.

No doubt, but the target sorta matters. Do we want him killing off good conservative careers just because they thought RD was a better choice? The Trumptards obviously do, but is that how we get more conservative politicians elected?

Or is that how we build a cult of personality?

So now Trump people are trying to oust a chair of the House Freedom Caucus who has a damn near 100% conservative score.

Frick these people. This type of stupidity needs to be defeated.

I will gladly cut a check for Bob Good in this fight.

I will cede that certain Trump picks have been terrible. But my point stands, the GOP needs to get dirty.

Heritage Action and Conservative Review both gave Bob Good a 100% conservative voting record.

That isn’t a wolf in sheep’s clothing. That’s a reliable vote you need in Congress.

“I don’t think about it,” he said, in response to Mr. LaCivita, who recently told Cardinal News, a Southwest Virginia outlet, that Mr. Good “won’t be electable when we get done with him.”

Mr. Good, the newly elected House Freedom Caucus chairman, is one of just a handful of members of the conservative group who is supporting Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis for president, a fact that is not sitting well with the Trump campaign.

Enter state Sen. John McGuire, a former Navy SEAL who had endorsed Mr. Trump after winning election to the Commonwealth’s upper chamber back in November.

“Folks from all over the country flew into Iowa this weekend, including myself, to help Trump win so we can Save America!” Mr. McGuire said in his email newsletter. “I am proud to be the first elected official in Virginia to endorse Trump 2024!”

Mr. Trump won Virginia’s 5th Congressional District with 53% of the vote in both 2016 and 2020.

Mr. McGuire’s endorsement of the former president is one of the biggest differences between him and Mr. Good, whose endorsement of Mr. DeSantis has sparked accusations from McGuire that Mr. Good is “hating Trump,” or is a “Never-Trumper” and a “RINO,” an insult meaning “Republican In Name Only.”

No shite, but not against good conservatives just because they bruised Trump's ego. Maybe get dirty against the left? Can Trump manage that?

100% conservative score and how he votes doesn't matter. He didn't endorse Trump and now Trump will look for revenge.

You must show your unquestioned fealty to the man with caked on orange make up at all times who will throw you under the bus if it becomes expedient.

By destroying conservatives? Over respect???

MAGA is far more damaging to the right than to the left.

I think you have a better shot at naming the shitty picks than the good picks.

By attacking anyone and anything that didn't have Trump as their first choice? frick that. Trump is becoming a cancer and shite like this is starting to give me pause. You silly bastards need the conservatives to win. Keep doing this shite, and have fun with the SDV's and Fat Bastard's of the world trying to get anyone elected.

Idol worship is a sad thing to behold.

You guys are complete fricking idiots. Bob Good voted with Trump 100% of the time during his term, including voting against the certification of PA and AZ election results.

The original sin.

Look how he has a different opinion.

How dare he.

So according to Trump--- Rino McCarthy > Freedom Caucus Bob Good.

More evidence that Trump will appoint the same people who backstab him in his administration.

Lou. They are lost in the desert with the hazy looking spot in the horizon they believe is an oasis. It’s just an illusion.

It’s pointless.
