I think it makes a lot of sense......two steel mesh walls on either side of a road. Being able to see through it would be very advantageous.

You don't have to be steeped in border walls to know that keeping your eyes on flying drug bags isn't the reason. Seriously I laugh every time I type it.

There may be. A BP agent showed me a video he took on his phone of the infrared surveillance video on his laptop.
It's a tube filled with weed that gets stuffed into an air cannon and wheeled up to the fence. They shoot it, it goes tumbling over the fence, and the guys on the other side grab it, stuff it in their car and haul arse.

It's not just for flying bags of drugs, it's also to watch what's going on on the other side. People trying to scale the wall, toss contraband over, throw rocks at BP, etc.
Stop being so smarmy in your ignorance. It's unbecoming.
