Gov. Moonbeam claimed Rick Perry could never lure away big business from CA. Still laughing my arse off since this story broke.

They're moving to Plano?

Jeez, Plano is absolutely stacked with corporate headquarters and home offices. Good for them.

Is that TPOS the top selling vehicle period in CA ... or the top selling Toyota?

Either way ... that is pathetic.

The major population centers of California and New York rule the rural areas with an iron fist. It is almost sad to see. Even when towns of northern New York attempt to lower their energy cost by approving wind turbines the powers to be in Albany demand that the power instead be diverted to NYC.

Does Honda still have its American HQ in California or did it move out too?

Its criminal that one of the most beautiful states is run by liberals.

I think they are related. People will put up with more because they want to live in a nice place. So CA's beauty helps sustain some sub-par economic policies.

No real proof, just a working theory.

People seeking jobs will vote on the social issues bringing in poor economic policy as a side effect.

What social issues in TX though? Our water problems? Border Control? Pot? And frankly, if all this leads to public economic policy staying the same, who cares? Texas is BOOMING right now.

Oh and if you want to see some hilarious responses from liberals on this issue, read the comments on the LA Times website.

Yet the top two states where I would want to live are CA and NY. Texas is at the top of the "south", but the south in general is at the bottom.

If you want to live in California that is fine. If you are OK with the taxes, high cost of living, environmentalism that restricts business, little economic freedom, and fees tacked on to everything, then who am I to judge?

I lived in California and got out, it was horrible. My rent alone for a 1 bedroom 650 square foot apartment is more than my total living expenses in Texas.

My rent for a 1 bedroom 800 square foot apartment(and a nice apartment, not some apartment in a dive joint) was $725 in Texas, and was $1400 in Southern California when I was there in 2011. My total living expenses month-to-month in Texas was $1300.

Not to mention everything in California costs more too. Gas, food, bills, you name it, its more expensive. And I remember having to pay a fee each time I wanted to use a debit or credit card.

And did I mention the state income tax that I had to put up with in California? And I had to pay for an emissions test for my car! Don't have to do that in Texas, and even then our air is more clean in Texas without all the environmental red tape.

Again, some people are perfectly fine with that because they think living in California is worth it. I know a girl I went to college with who loves living in LA, despite the fact she splits an apartment with 3 other girls and has to pay her $1200 a month share of the apartment rent. To her, living the L.A. lifestyle is worth the expense and all the power to her.

This was proven in 2012. People voted for social issues(WAR ON WOMEN!) over economic issues. They picked Obama(social issue champion, weak economy) over Romney(someone with an economic background). 2012 proved that voters care more about emotionally charged social issues than their pocketbook.

And its why the left loves drumming up social issues(WAR ON WOMEN!).

Yes you do if you live in one of the larger counties. It's part of the overall annual car inspection.

But otherwise I'm glad to see you're enjoying TX over CA.
