So did his two codefendants, over 8 years of legal fees, and court appearances, Ellis finally plead guilt last year since he couldn't afford to fight it any longer for a suspended sentence with essentially no punishment.

Our government at its finest.

Where is Decatur? He was the cheerleader for the witch hunt, and claimed DeLay would not be acquitted.

Man, it's been so long since this case started that I can't remember exactly what laundering he was accused of. Was he the one that supposedly laundered money through Native American casinos?

I think that was Abramoff,

as I recall DeLay supposedly took funds from corporations that couldn't donate to certain campaigns for his PAC and this his PAC made legal contributions (of fungible money) to these same campaigns, a common practice in politics and a total stretch on money laundering.

If Tom Delay becomes Speaker of the House in 2016, I'm sure he'll hold no grudges.

Did I ever comment on DeLay's chances on appeal? I don't recall that. Link?

Let DeLay's experience be a lesson to any influential person who dares fight the New Left Radicals currently running the country.

Does not matter that you are completely innocent. LeftGov will prosecute and bankrupt you anyway, and, you will suffer years of anguish until your final acquittal.

And, by the way, nothing happens to the LeftGov persecutors who inflicted injustice upon you.

Don Seigleman says "Hi." DS's playing patty cake with Scrushy was only punished because of what the Alabama Dems did to Guy Hunt. Paybacks can be a bitch.

Did you ever comment on the merits of the conviction?

I started a thread informing that he had indeed been convicted

I don't see how you are stretching to say that I claimed "DeLay would not be acquitted"

No need to make stuff up

hmmm....

1/10/11 4:33pm
quote:

Delay was using his PAC to funnel corporate donations to Texas candidates.

Fayard ostensibly donated money to the state Dem party that was then used for a media buy.

Delay's conduct violated Texas state law. Fayard's conduct did not violate any Louisiana law to the best of my knowledge

Right, I specifically asked CT if I had ever commented on DeLay's chances on appeal, which was not discussed in that thread
