I think that he probably skipped the WH because of internal pressures and expectations from his teammates.

Giselle was pretty upset on an AA flight to São Paulo Monday. They didn’t board her until the cabin lights were dimmed but she was pretty upset according to my employee. So, I think maybe Tom's shoutout was more than coincidental.

That's the sense I got. I don't think it was his teammates, because most of them went. I think the pressure mostly came from Giselle, who probably doesn't even understand American politics.
Giselle, and maybe Brady being overly concerned about his brand.
