The president usually puts someone in the AG position that he can get along with. However, since Sessions recused himself, and a deputy AG was placed who seemed to want to remove himself from the mess, and named Mueller is really a nightmare for the prez. Mueller was given unlimited scope for his investigation, and is really investigating, with a magnifying glass all of Trump's associates. No appointments can stand up to such an onslaught. Especially with the financial backgrounds of his associates. I really do not see any way out for him, other than fire Sessions, appoint a new AG, who will fire Mueller, and perform the investigation by the Justice Department. He was inadvertently hosed by Sessions by his well meaning recusal. Sessions is a nice guy, but over his head as AG.

We know.

It's a taxpayer paid for fishing expedition for Muller and his cronies to make millions over the next 2 years.

Sweet gig if you can get it.

DOJ should have had a limited scope for the council to investigate. It just seems weird, especially with all of Mueller's team being comprised of democrats.

You give an unlimited budget and no time limit to an army of lawyers and FBI agents to investigate ANY large entity and they will find something to charge someone with.

I don't believe there will be any collusion, but they are expanding to the Trump Organization going back 10 years.

Mueller will get a pelt for his wall.

So the fear is they will catch Trump in possible criminal acts in his past?

Because, the investigation is whether there was collusion between the Russians and Trump and/or his team to interfere with our elections. His going into Trump finances which does not have anything to do with this initially narrow scoped investigation seems excessive and severe.

The financial transactions are specific to the Russian Oligarchs, one of which was mentioned in the Jr emails. Apparently the Russians use these to launder money, which is why the lawyer was here in the first place.

It's entirely possible that the transactions indicate that Trump did nothing wrong, but the Russians did.

Everybody just needs to relax before we make drastic assumptions about the investigation and Trump's role in it.

It's not fear. It's not logical for an investigation into electoral interference should mission creep into 10 year old real estate transactions.

This stems from Kushner taking meetings with sanctioned banks. The finances have to do with the influx of money and how might Russians influence Trump's decisions. The Soviet KGB were known to have many times attempted to blackmail people, amongst other tactics.

But even if they find some dealings that appear unseemly, aren't we going to be faced after this long drawn out investigation is done with the issue of,"intent?"

I think this is also being used as a way to keep Trump uncomfortable and to also dangle something over his head to control him. This is an Ace up the establishment's sleeve so you can expect this to go on for quite some time. Mueller is human and can be manipulated and/or blackmailed (if even necessary) by the establishment to do their bidding.

First of all, it's a privately held company. You get to enjoy rights like that in this scenario. It's not like Trumpnis publicly traded.

Kind of like big tobacco...get fricked!

Well Mueller was appointed by W, given an extension by Obama, and then appointed by Sessions. It was only when it dawned on GOP members that he's a law man and not going to give Trump the free ride did the character assassination start. It shouldn't have to be "research". The GOP should have shown a little more discretion before they took him at his word and threw themselves behind Trump

Still doesn't matter that a current investigation is being done on a man whose civil liberties are being shite upon by ideological radicals.

I mean if it was imperative to ensure Hillary wasn't elected and Comey was let go because of the email issue and somehow bringing intent the investigation, not to mention the focus on law and order, then it seems like we shouldn't stooping to Clinton and Comey incompetence.

Show me any proof that Russia changed one single vote of the 50k votes over three states that would show cause for this investigation.

But you can't...and you are too weak to admit it.
