CNN used the briefing as cover to put that fake news out there.

Damage is already done.

Prepare for liberals to use this story for the rest of time.

That is why politics and media are shite these days. We can't trust anyone. Facts can be fabricated and stories are believed at face value.

I know there is a higher standard for libel against public individuals but this seems to fail the "absence of malice" test clearly.

CNN and Buzzfeed both have full WH access. National Inquirer and Jerry Springer do not.

Someone explain that.

Is a news organization not required to meet a certain standard in order to have press credentials? If I were Trump, CNN and MSNBC as well as a few others would have no access to the white house until they changed the way they conducted business.

It's just the latest in a long pattern of CNN fake journalism in the service of progressivism. Any "journalist" who stays at CNN after this discredits themselves. Book are going to be written about this debacle. It's one thing to turn your broadcast over to ideologues with opinions (I have no problem with their right to do this) but it is entirely different to fabricate fake news in an attempt to destroy a President-elect. That's a lot of things, but it's not journalism, and CNN has lost the right to pretend they are journalists.

Well I guess ole Bill is still the only one that gets "oral briefings" in the white house.

Yes of course there was a briefing. What is your point? The BS fake intel report is what was reported to have been at the core of the briefing. Which was a lie.

Yea, we wouldn't want anything to ruin buzzfeed's stellar reputation.
