Most of you know about the Scots new law against 'hate speech.' It's becoming a problem at soccer games where hate speech is as common as breathing. Even if you're watching TV and hear the crowd using a slur you can call police and report it.
Soooo, what happens in the U.S. when the crowd starts chanting 'F.... Joe Biden!' as the election is at hand? Will laws be passed to make it criminal? Will networks be ordered to use artificial crowd noise instead of live sound?
You can't arrest 10,000 people being "hateful."

Nah, cameras could prove you were there on Jan 6. Cameras at the football game can't prove what you are saying.

Is there such a law making its way through Congress?

There is no need for that. A DC jury will convict people for "words are violence" in the near future.

You know its true.

I don't know that's true because that little phrase has been around for years and no one's ever been convicted over it.

Let’s say a chant happens in Alabama and people are arrested.

Where will the trial be? Birmingham city, Atlanta, DC??

That is 3 guilty verdicts and straight to the rapeist prison.

Why would anyone do something like that against any candidate at a sports event? How childish. If you don't like the candidate, do the civilized thing and vote against them at the ballot box. GEEZE!

Why do you keep conflating past with future?

They’re not going to arrest 10k people. What they will do is target individuals who make political stances online or show up to anti-government protests. Then, they will go back through endless hours of cctv camera footage to find every incident of “hate speech” uttered (like at a soccer game), and use that to arrest them.

This will just be a dragnet for selected prosecution against political dissidents and undesirables.
