Never thought I would see the day that our beloved GOP would no longer stand for Democracy or Freedom, or have the courage to defend either anymore.

Disgusting...

Oh shite, I'm sorry.

Democracy and Freedom.

Is that what is going on in Ukraine?

As far as supplying arms...not really. Not at the moment anyway.. This situation has been a wake up call for them though.

Sure they can. But will they?

Here are all some recent stories that took a few moments to google.

APRIL 9, 2024 7:09 PM CET BY ANDREW MCDONALD AND ELI STOKOLS LONDON — Britain's top diplomat David Cameron insisted it's “profoundly in your interest” for the U.S. to pass a stalled package of aid to Ukraine, hours after a face-to-face meeting with Donald Trump. During a U.S. charm offensive — which included dinner with the Republican presidential candidate Monday — Cameron urged Congress to sign off on extra help for Ukraine in its war against Russia amid months of gridlock over the $60 billion package.

:blah blah blah:

We turn our backs on all kinds of allies under Obama and Biden.

Not supporting a corrupt barnacle on the arse of Europe isn’t going to break us.

No it won’t. Most of the world is stuck sucking on the giant money tits of the good ol USA. They don’t give a damn about anything but the next pile of American tax payer cash we ship to them… why don’t you clowns be honest for once. The ONLY reason you give two shits about Ukraine is because you’re consumed by this massive wet dream that somehow fighting Putin and plunging the globe into war is akin to fighting Trump and his supporters. frick you sorry pieces of warmongering trash.

Dude, there is not and has not been any Democracy or Freedom in Ukraine since the US/CIA overthrew the Government there in 2014. It is one of if not the most corrupt places in the world. The worst thing about it is that our Govt. created it.

The world watches us, both allies and enemies.

China capitalizes on America’s failure to support Ukraine. They fill Taiwan and Philippine radio airwaves with propaganda, telling those citizens “Look at how America turned their back on their ally, Ukraine; they will do the same to you.”

Allies in the South China Sea are watching us. NATO is watching us. Australia is watching us. And they take to heart how we treat our allies in their time of gravest need. The less they feel they can rely on America, the more they will turn away from us and towards China.

China’s aggression won’t stop with Taiwan. If they exercise full control of the South China Sea, that will completely cutoff Japan.

That will affect world trade and our way of life beyond a point most Americans realize.

It is also destroying confidence in the American Nuclear Umbrella for our allies... so Japan and Poland and others are now signaling that they wish to have their own nukes.

This is bad... the more nukes in existence, the higher the chances that they get used... especially in some countries that tend to suffer wide swings in political ideology and stability. If you don't worry about Pakistan, for instance, having nukes, you really should (the calculation back in the early 80s was that it drew a line with the Soviet Union being just next door in Afghanistan, but now...).

Destroying the world once over is enough, we don't need the ability to destroy it 100 times over.

When the US reluctantly took its place at the top of International Affairs at the end of WWII (after not doing so at the end of WWI, which is kind of what allowed WWII to happen) the result was "The Long Peace" and no large-scale "hot" wars between major nations.

If we abandon that position... all hell will break lose, again.

I'm talking specifically about the manufacturing of arms and weapons systems. Sholz can urge support, Macron can saber rattle, and Sunak as well as the rest of the alliance can offer some more funding but they arent really tooled up at the moment to offer a whole lot more as far as arms.

I have not really had an issue with the US cleaning its military closet and giving it to the Good Will (Ukraine) but whats the end game here is my question. Barring a over throw of the Putin regime it seems like its just a numbers game and at some point Ukraine will simply run out of men.

Ukraine is not an ally as we get nothing from them. They would not send troops, weapons, or money if we needed it. If they were a vassal state, we would at least get tribute in exchange for our protection. They are just a dependent we don't need at this point.

Horse shite… Ukraine is not the UK. Do we even consider Ukraine an ally at this point or are they just in perpetual “they might join NATO one day” status.

Why does anyone, let alone a non-NATO ally, feel entitled to a blank check?

They don’t. Other countries not receiving a ton of aid are probably pissed off at all the money Ukraine is getting to be honest. All that money could wipe out a shite ton of stray rabid dogs in Manila, just saying. That entire city needs a pressure wash.
