For anyone who was mad one way or another about the woman being shot dead and didn't do their research, well here is what happened in a nut shell. Its a sad situation and i saw the video from both angles. Basically she was crossing a line that was a barrier/line between the capital police and the safety of government workers(congressmen/women etc). They were instructed to use deadly force if anyone crossed that barrier. This woman "chose" to be there and "chose" to not protest calmly and "chose" to climb throw a bust out opened area and the second she was about to cross into that barrier, a single bullet from probably 20 or 30 ft down the hallway where officers were on a headie was fired and that bullet struck the woman making her fall back behind the crawl/climb area where she was coming from from what seemed like a instant kill. I'm from the old school. I believe her death while tragic could have been easily avoided by "herself" making better choices for "herself". This result was from her own doing, no one elses...nm...

Agreed, guns were pointed at her and she still pressed forward.

If this is ok, then so is every shooting by a cop who was standing his ground when someone was advancing on them.

Whoever down voted , you are the very people who are like these people who fight the cops and get shot and then everyone proceeds to blame the cops instead of the criminal who is fighting the cops you effin pos's.

The problem is... how many of the antifa bitches got shot for throwing bricks, molotov cocktails and any other means of injuring police. Don't give me that BS that the congressional scum is more valuable than our police. Unequal treatment is where we are, and they murdered that woman unnecessarily.

I totally agree. All these thugs who get shot and people their color make excuses of innocence and not he got what was coming cause he asked for it are all responsible just like this women was. She brought this on herself....not one minority calling for the cops head... lol...we know the deal

The British could have said the same thing about those killed at Lexington and Concord.

Your looking at her as a law breaker. I see her as a freedom fighter.

It's all about perspective.

If you insist on remaining tone deaf when it comes to the legitimate greivances of the American People, then war is inevitable.

Why didn't the armed police right behind her stop her?

Are those cops barricaded and protecting elected officials facing a wave of people?

You may be right. But every cop isn't a Secret Service agent assigned to protect the POTUS and VP and authorized to use deadly force in doing so.

Those guys at the door with weapons drawn aren't uniformed Capitol police.

Someone who feels the need to post about someone they don't know and how they deserved to die is the only true piece of shite I see here.

I could come up with all kinds of rationalizations to find your house and take all your shite. It's all about perspective, right?

Agreed, still doesn't change this instance though.

There are huge double standards....

I have no problem with this position.. as long as you believe the same about Jacob Blake, and others mentioned in this thread.. If you believe that somehow Blake and others were "victims" and did not make the same choice, you are dishonest.

The wrinkle is that she was essentially being escorted by police through that broken window. That's the wrinkle here. And she was clearly unarmed, and could have been cuffed at the door either before or right after she jumped through. But she wasn't.

That woman posed a non-lethal threat to the officer, and should have been met with non-lethal force.

That wasn’t attempted. The officer aimed and fired while she was still behind door/window.

She’s dead.

That’s a good point. This is the first time I’ve seen that pic and heard about the barricade.
