to be fair, it makes perfect sense for Obama to have place a bust of MLK in the Oval Office

but he could have done that without removing the Churchill bust - taking it out and sending it back was a huge insult

and the fricking media didn't even blink

The bust of Winston Churchill given to the US in the 1960s remains on display at the White House. It was only gone for a short while to be repaired. It remains exactly where it has always been.

For a short time, we had TWO busts but, when the original was returned to the WH after being repaired, the copy was sent back to the Embassy. W kept the dummy bust in the oval office. Obama prefers a bust of Lincoln instead, in his Oval Office.

turns out that the bust that Barry sent back was actually presented in July of 2001 link from c-span
