The store that sold the killer the AR-15 that killed 17 kids has closed.

The owners of Sunrise Tactical Supply, the Coral Springs shop that authorities said in November sold suspected shooter Nikolas Cruz the AR-15, has been ‘‘closed indefinitely,’’ according to the Miami Herald. Cruz was arrested after the massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, which also left 14 people wounded.
The owners of the small business, located in a strip mall near the school, said they ensured that Cruz had filled out all of the required paperwork which included his driver’s license and assurances that he did not suffer from mental illness. The store owners said, through their attorney, that Cruz only purchased the semi-automatic rifle off the shelf and did not purchase any accessories, modifications, or ammunition so as not to raise eyebrows.
Both owners are, according to their attorney, distraught.
‘‘The tremendous sense of responsibility in this situation and just horribleness that they feel that one of their weapons fell into the hands of this maniac,’’ the attorney said in the Miami Herald report. ‘‘They are scared — not just for their safety — but more importantly about how the reaction is going to be for the rest of the community as they try to reenter it.’’
I cannot imagine the guilt they must feel knowing this will follow them the rest of their lives.
I really feel for them.

I'm sorry, but the shooter and the gun store owners who sold him the gun are the only ones I don't feel sorry for here. If you own a gun store in America in 2018, you have to assume your guns are being used by criminals to murder innocent people. When it happens, it shouldn't be a shock to you.
ETA: I'm not saying they're at fault. No fault lies on them whatsoever. I'm just saying that to be in the gun business and to assume your product will never be used to injure or kill another human being is naive.
HOLY shite! I just checked this post and saw all your responses. Let me clarify what I MEANT to say. I meant to say that "SOME" of the guns a gun store sells surely fall into the wrong hands and end up being used by criminals to hurt or kill people. I did not mean to say that ALL of them will be used in that manner. For the record, I have multiple guns and am a responsible gun owner and conservative just like most of the rest of this board. Cut me some slack for the typo! Also - and I don't know how y'all got this from what I said - I do not believe the guns are at fault here. The shithead that pulled the trigger is at fault here.
Also - a guy who sells someone a car, then that someone goes to a bar and drinks too much then kills someone on his way home is not at fault there. The drunk driver who bought the car is at fault. That's two different things. The bar owner (much in the same way as the gun store owner) shouldn't be surprised that one of his customers was irresponsible and drank too much then killed someone on his way home. I'm not saying the bar owner or bar tender is at fault there, nor am I saying the gun store owner is at fault. Everyone has a personal responsibility to uphold and the shooter and drunk driver in these instances are 100% at fault. I'm just saying that a gun store owner and bar owner both shouldn't be surprised at all when some of their customers use their product to do bad things.

True story here...I sold a car to a middle aged guy, it was a Nissan Altima that he was going to use to commute every day. I found out about a year later that he was drunk driving one night and he actually hit a car full of teenagers. 5 in the car, 2 survived. Now, I didn't feel bad about selling him that car, I felt emphatic towards the loss of life, nor did I hold a grudge against AR15's. People make decisions. People kill people.
