Abbott polling 54-38

LINK /

One thing that I found interesting

quote:

Davis leads 75 to 19 among black voters and narrowly — 48 to 46 — among Hispanic voters.

She is only +2 with Hispanic votes. Maybe it is her abortion stance, or maybe Hispanics can gravitate towards the R's as long as they don't go full retard.

Could be. When you vehemently profess of getting rid of something not wanted you could alienate those with an iffy background.

The Hispanic vote is interesting, maybe due to Abbott's wife as well as abortion.

But Abbott opposes interracial marriage

I also noticed the polling numbers from when Perry was first elected via the other link upthread.

quote:

Among likely voters, Perry carried Anglos (70% to 30%), while Sanchez won African Americans (85% to 15%) and Latinos (87% to 13%).

SO it went from 87-13 in favor of Dems to 48-46. So either this poll is complete crap or Wendy is an even worse candidate than I thought.

Yes, but Davis had lots of national attention and outside money. She had about as good a shot as you could have for an abortion-celebrating candidate in Texas, and just went totally off the reservation.

Not disputing that, but she's going to lose this one worse than she should have, which, on a macro level, is not good for liberal inroads in Texas.

I don't. I look forward to DS living up to his self-ban bet.

I doubt it has any impact. In 20 years, texass will be more liberal than it is today. you can't fight demographics like this. the delusion was to think this would arrive before that.

Maybe the libs will shoot for her to be the next POTUS nominee? Hell, SacajaWarren's lies and stupidity seem to be something admired by the left.

Ole Wendy told a Crippled man married to a hispanic woman, that he was faking his injury and was racist towards hispanics. They don't gift wrap stupid better than that.

I say again.

The Democrat Party - The party for stupid people.

It'll likely be more liberal in far less time than that, but I don't know that you'll have election results to verify the shift.

I'm sure I'll get flamed for this comment, but the Latino family structure tends to be patriarchal. Perhaps there is a faction that relates to a white male (R) married to a Latina, who would become the state's first Latina first lady, more so than to a white female (D) who has presented as a weak candidate.

If the Democrats nominated a Hispanic, Abbot would be a lot more than 2% behind with Hispanic voters, and the Black voters would stay put.

The Dems will have to get off their "war on women" mantra first. If the Dems had gone with someone other than this flake Windy, pun intended, then they might have had a shot.

maybe it's because she sucks. Dems think they will turn texas blue why? because of Hispanics...they're not white so they'll vote for us proportionally similar to black people. RIGHT?
