The reason the Dem position on voter ID is bull

Forget needing an ID to vote for a minute. Think about all the other things in life that are much harder to do if one has no legitimate ID.
Now consider that NORMALLY, if Dems believed that minorities and the poor were harmed by such a thing, they'd be beating the drums to solve the supposed lack of fairness.
The rational response to believing that minorities can't get the IDs they need to vote isn't to eliminate the ID requirement. The typical liberal response would be to throw billions of dollars at helping these people overcome the disadvantages associated with having no ID.
This has to be the only issue on the planet where Dems identify a problem that harms minorities (beyond just voting) but have no desire to solve said issue.
That really tells you a lot about the left's REAL reason for hating voter ID laws

I think its pretty simple
Those who would vote that are unable to get valid ID's to participate in the election whether they are illegal, are voting for someone else, are double voting, etc are people who will vote for Democrats
They need those votes

The Republicans and Trump need to reframe their argument for voter ID. It's typically about logic but they need to go after the Dems and call it for what it truly is. Racism. The Dems think their minority base is so incompetent and stupid that they can't go get a fricking ID. The Republicans should start calling them out on this all the time.

I agree with your approach. Too often the Dems respond to a rational augment with "BUT MY FEELS!!" and then end the debate. Need to get ahead of them on this and win the hearts as well as the minds.

The main reason for ANY identification requirement is to prevent mistaken identity and fraud. There is great potential for voter fraud in states that do not have strong voter id laws. The Democrats know this and apparently condone it by design.
