It's frustrating year after year, hearing all these Republican DC Uniparty politicians bitch and complain about the Dims/Groomers radical agenda but when they finally get a majority in the house they show they're nothing more than controlled opposition.

Speaker Johnson and a few congress members go down to the southern border to witness the invasion of the US, after viewing the lawlessness the Congress Critters decide to hold a presser. Ben Bergquam from the RAV network asks the members of congress to hold up you're hand if you're willing to shutdown the government to secure the border, Bergquam was promptly mocked by some dipshit congressman who told Bergquam this isn't a classroom, we're not holding up our hands and taking a vote on shutting down the government to secure the border.

Not only was the trip to the southern border a waste of time but Speaker Johnson makes a deal over the weekend with Schumer and House co-Speaker Hakeem Jeffries to continue the government's out of control spending. I guess the Speaker is happy with cutting $10 billion from the IRS, in his eyes that's a huge win..... and the border is still wide open. It's been estimated by the end of Jotato's first term over 10 million illegals will have entered the country, and that's a low estimate by some sources.

You know the deal Johnson made with Schumer and Jeffries is a good Dim deal because the Dims are lauding the deal as good for Americans.

Nothing will ever change . All we can do it try to vote them out and get ready for the future they are pushing on us. Republican politicians on a national level are in it to fill their own pockets .

Remember when Trump got nothing done with control and everyone blames him. Perhaps it’s losers in Congress who screw everyone

And that was their goal. It’s way past time for people on the right understand that the Republican Party is nothing more than controlled opposition to the radical left. Their job is simply to make the masses THINK they don’t want the same thing as the Dems.

So why put him back in office? Sounds ineffective.

Trump had a R controlled House and Senate for two years and couldn't get funding to secure the southern border or the votes to repeal Obamacare, and don't forget, a shite ton of R's in the House and Senate campaigned on both of those items.

That’s the thing. The Republicans don’t really provide gridlock. They pretend to while slowly letting the left have everything they want.

I don't get self-immolation posts like this. The GOP has the thinnest House majority in memory. They've opened impeachment hearings which might actually expose the Potatobrain crime family. They are pushing hard for border security. They ridded themselves of the last of the "Young Guns" leadership. They've forwarded minor budget cuts. Even those may well fail in reconciliation. If they do, and there is a government shutdown, they'll still be blamed. However, the cuts proposed are so minor that the shutdown strategy could backfire on Senate Dems for once.

This was never going to be a kickass-and-take-names House. The numbers simply aren't there.

You don't know how the government works do you? With a major thin majority, they need all R's to vote together and then hope they can get their legislation past a D senate and D president.

What do you contend a thin Republican majority in one half of our bicameral legislature should have accomplished with the Senate and the executive branch controlled by the opposing party?
