News about #PopularVote on Twitter

LINK

On this forum and Twitter; I have seen and heard that even CNN called the popular vote for Trump after MI was finally called. (It seems that the MSM held-out calling States to: say that HRC won the popular vote?)

What is the truth? As I don't trust the Media.

306-232 are the only numbers that matter.

They don't like it? It's our system. They can deal with it.

I dont understand the obsession with the popular vote...it means absolutely nothing...A presidential election is a collection of 50 individual statewide elections, held simultaneously, to elect Electors to the Electoral College...not to count individual votes, as per referendum...terrible lack of Civic knowledge

Hell, if you go now and look at the electoral map on Fox News it still shows Michigan as undecided 96% results, Trump with 290 electoral votes and Clinton still with the lead in popular vote. LINK

As well as, has anyone found out why the State of PA was @ 97% for hours? Does CNN still have some States like this? It is nuts and like I said, for good reason I don't trust the media...

A true democracy can can never work for 300+ million people.

Leaves open the possibility for tyranny for 49.9% of the vote.

Also it impedes 3rd/4th party candidates. Theoretically 30% of the US population could choose a president. Very very hard to get a majority.

The electoral college is a genius solution.

Founding fathers.

It's because the idea of a collection of sovereign states has been totally erased from the American psyche.

I have no idea. It is why I started the thread. Go do a search on the popular vote 2016. It has some unknown sites saying Trump won, with others saying Clinton will regain even more votes? CNN did call the popular vote to Trump days ago. There is confusion.

Plot Twist: CNN Now Saying That Donald Trump Will Win The Popular Vote; UPDATE: CNN Admits Design Flaw -

Being that, news organizations like CNN were only forced to REPORT the winner when HRC conceded and held-off on the numbers. I don't know who to believe. It would not shock many in the slightest if CNN et al...did this to form some kind of a narrative of a mandate for the dems and HRC. But it doesn't matter, Trump won the election...

Trump will be president & I know it does not matter

But I want to see the final numbers

when some #NeverTrump people were fricking with me and asking why I would not vote for Johnson, since I am in AL & a "safe Trump state" - ONE of my answers was popular vote

I will not be surprised if the final numbers show Trump ahead - could that be part of the delay in getting the final tallies in?

I mean it really is ridiculous that we don't have final results already

How long did it take to tally up results in past presidential elections?

So much this. It is the fourth separation of powers that was (unfortunately) erased at the conclusion of the Civil War.

I've seen media reports that the turnout was 3% more than 2012 but we are still 5 million total votes less than 2012. Something isn't adding up. Do we have more than 5 million votes to count?

Absentee? Military? Which Trump would do very well with both.

^^^This and then some. Trump also outperformed Romney with blacks and Hispanics yet there is some strange (half-assed counted?) graphic going around twitter saying Romney and McCain did better than Trump? It makes no sense.
