We need to go after the NFL's tax-exempt status. I mean, WTH?! Multi-millionaire, for-profit (BIG PROFIT) organizations... no spiritual, charity, or community outreach as a core of what they do... how in the world did these people ever get tax exempt status?!

I'm waiting for the next billionaire owner to request tax dollars to build his half empty stadium "for the home folks" to enjoy

I believe the NFL gave that up a few years ago to keep their books secret

The thing to go after is the partial antitrust exemption (pushed through congress by Russell Long and Hale Boggs in exchange for The Saints -- but that's another story) that makes possible the NFL's TV deal.

Even just suggesting that might be repealed would move the owners to get their thugs back in line PDQ

Did he realize that he was doing something offensive? Or, did he give those who object to that a big "frick you" like the players did for so long?

To so many “ Normals” it’s just a statement of fundamental decency and national cohesion. Progs reject both concepts and gift wrapped this one for Trump. They can’t help themselves.

1) a Hispanic or ME guy carrying a US flag around NYC, and nothing else
2) his hat is pulled low, and unneeded sunglasses are an attempt to conceal his identity (as is the photo being taken from behind)

weather reviews
New York City, October 15, 2017
? The humid, gloomy morning seemed to be breaking apart, as the forecast said it would, around 11. By noon, though, the light had shut off again. Without the sun, the breeze was clammy. At great intervals a drop of rain would fall. Nothing improved.

3) The bunching of the shirt reveals he has another shirt on underneath

It was staged by the friend that took the photo. he jumped up, grabbed the flag, and pulled off the anthem shirt before too many noticed, or tried to start shite with him

No. I've known a few. Some do better than others.

OTOH, you're one of those folks that think every picture anonymously forwarded to Deadspin is real, huh?

Rookies start at $420,000 base a year. Average is close to $2 million a year.

If you can't be a millionaire at that Salley (before any bonuses) within 5 years, you are a failure at budgeting.

But then again.. What's the percentage of ex NFL athletes that go broke within 10 years of retirement?
