The most popularly used tactic for liberal agendas

Is there anymore popular tactic used than the feel good stories? Or the emotional appeal to the families?
Exhibit A- "They're mothers! and uncles! and aunts!"
Exhibit B-"BUT THESE UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS ARE ON MY SON'S LITTLE LEAGUE TEAM!

Endless lawsuits and forum shopping for friendly Progressive judges is also an important weapon for them: LawFare.

Weird how all the challenges to DACA and DAPA came out of Texas. Almost as if they were being forum shopped.

How to Defeat Weaponized Empathy
How to Defeat Weaponized Empathy
quote:
What is Weaponized Empathy? It is the deliberate hijacking of your own moral standards, your ability to empathize with your fellow man, in order to force you to serve someone else’s narrative. It is, in essence, a highly sophisticated form of guilt-tripping designed to turn you into a slave.
You might consider it an evolution of the Alinsky tactic of forcing the enemy to live up to their own moral standards. But it goes beyond that. It forces an enemy to embrace your moral standards or suffer tremendous peer pressure and socially-engineered “justice” at the whims of the mob.
quote:
Weaponized Empathy is everywhere. Healthcare policy is not judged on how efficient it is, or the quality of care provided, or even the cost of that care. It is judged solely on how it helps the poor. If it cost a million dollars per person, per year, but the poor didn’t have to pay the bill, Progressives would deem it great success. Non-Progressives would be pointing out that it’s expensive, the quality of the product was poor, and it was bankrupting the country. The response from the Progressives would be simple. They would pull out a picture of a child on Obamacare, or whatever government program they were promoting.
The picture would be carefully staged for maximum empathy. Perhaps the child would be crying, his face down, covered in carefully-enhanced sores. Maybe photoshop in a little blood and grime. Turn down the lighting a little, just so.
Now, if you oppose Obamacare, you want this poor child to die of plague.

It's like that Sarah McLachlin commercial on a macro sociological level. The more you watch it the more annoying it gets, until you just have to mute it and tell it to frick off.

Exactly. For all we know they could be showing us the absolute worst of the worst cases just to pull our emotions in. People have run scams for decades based on these tactics. Hell, the entire Clinton Foundation raked in the dough from the Haiti situation.

Young HempHead illegally downloaded them all on Napster and Kazaa and spread their hilarity to friends.

This is all the leftist media does. When it comes to the refugees, Do you ever see any pics of middle age men, or hear about the violence they start in Europe? No, of course not. You see a picture of a 12 year old with blood running down her forehead. Thats all they do. They cover one side of the story (the side that fits their agenda). Identity politics and trying to bring out the guilt in you is what they strive on.

quote:My personal favorite was a non-JR track called "Send Them ______s Back", dealing with placing certain individuals on boats by use of force. It sounds like it was recorded on a TG&Y tape recorder in somebody's backyard tool shed. One writer described it as sounding "like it was recorded on the morning after a nuclear race war".

what about all the family they left behind in Mexico? did not they split up families then?
Isn't it humane to return them to the families they broke apart when they left years ago
these people haven't seen them in years, there are grandchildren that have never been seen
be a good liberal politician return the children to their families

there are 3 code words
families
children/kids
guns (as in: what are you going to do, break into their homes with guns, force all of these people back at gunpoint? - so liberals are advocating for people who will to refuse to obey U S laws even to the point of needing to have a gun pointed at them to make them obey the law - these are the people liberals want in this country)

A.) yes, there are pics of middle aged refugees all the time
B.) A 12 year old with blood running down his forehead is news. That's how it works. Dog bites man: man bites dog.
If LSU won the NC (with miles still at the helm) should the Advocate run a picture of the game winning catch with just seconds remaining in the 4th, or a 2nd quarter toss dive that resulted in a 3rd and 3.
There would have been far more toss dives
than pass receptions, believe me.
