Came across this declaration made about the Russian Revolution by Vladimir Lenin. OK, he's biased. But it made me wonder. What war was 'the most just and moral that history has ever seen?'
Thoughts?

In hindsight it has got to be WW2, but I was under the impression the west didn't really know about and/or believe the holocaust was going on at the time and it wasn't until after troops started moving into the heart of German occupied territory that we knew what was going on.

I believe that's correct, but I think there's still a strong enough case to be made even without the holocaust.

Germany was in open aggression against basically everyone, and Japan bombed our navy out of nowhere.

Lenin was actually speaking during the revolution of 1905 and the big revolution didn't hit until 1917. But the two conflicts were linked so his quote applies to both.

That and we were allied with a leadership that was damn near - if not equally - as evil as our enemies.

If we want to go way back, the rebellions on the Iberian Peninsula were mostly just and moral. The Romans treated the Iberians like dog shite.

I guess if you would have to choose a war, I guess it would be World War II. Germany and Japan were, after all, evil empires that would have made the world a much darker place had they won. The side effect was the spread of communism.

I've been watching a lot of short videos on the conflicts in that region. It's amazing that Portugal managed to stay so independent from Spain for such a long time. I had one classmate in grade school whose mom immigrated from Portugal with the American dad. She didn't like being called Spanish.

Has not been fought yet but if the progressive left keeps on the way they are it will be soon. Then we will liberate our republic from their attempts to overthrow it.

The war in Granada was just and moral. We went down there and rescued American nationals and overturned a Marxist regime in the process.

By what measure were the Crusades not just wars?

Are you saying we should have just left Hitler/Germany alone? Because that what it sounds like you are trying to say
