A dirty bomb isn't blowing up a city like they promised and some on this board think it can do. but yes its still an issue.

Doesn't have to. Just half a block...the size of a packed football stadium.

Imagine someone driving a van and parking near Tiger Stadium during the Alabama home game. These bombs could be of the same magnitude of the OKC bomb and it's lights out for thousands of people.

My point is we are always concerned about what's IN the stadiums but rarely what's near them.

Further, many stadiums are very easy to break in to during the week (any LSU student knows this). Small grenades, IEDs could be hidden or planted throughout to be picked up by "ticketed" customers on game day. They could then hide them in large drink cups and carry/place them wherever they wanted...then boom! Over and over.

My point is not that I am scared or have obsessed over this. My point is I "thought" out several of these details in minutes - and many of you reading this KNOW our security would miss this. THEREFORE, all it takes is a few people who really want to hurt us to make it all crumble.

THAT'S why these zealot organizations are always a threat. If they ever realize just how open to attack we really are, they will attack in the simplest of ways.

You're right. Another thing I've though of is how utterly unsecure the hydro dams are around here. You can just walk or drive a boat right up to any of them. I know one would be incredibly difficult to bring down, but it surely makes you think.

Im not arguing your point, just pointing out misconceptions people have about actual capabilities that make them more paranoid.

The stampede of people trying to get out of the stadium would kill more than the bombs would.

Based off of that runway length and knowing their fleet, I would be dangerously worried about...

Remote control aircraft (radio shack)
Paper airplanes
Hang gliders?
Kites

All of which probably have a range of 20-25 feet in their dainty little hands.

But they are pissed off and damn motivated.
What if they came across our open border with one of those hang gliders?

These idiots elected Obama thinking he would "change" things. They live under the illusion that 911 can never happen again. We are more open for an attack now than ever...of course, I'm sure they will blame the previous administration when it happens

Of course the Democrats and their minions will do exactly that.

Typical Democrat response. Totally motivated by ideology and unconstrained by truth, logic, critical thinking, objectivity and honesty.

Just like all the other Obama-bots.

911 happened under bush. I love how conservative ignore that.

9/11 happened because the Democrats had created a FedGov that treated terrorism as criminal activity instead of warfare. Bush was working on changing that. He took office less than eight months before 9/11.

But, you being a dishonest Democrat Hack would be unable to process these facts and reach a logical conclusion, because you have been programmed to parrot "BUSH'S FAULT" for everything.

Nobody has ever thought of any of that until you did. You should call the FBI/CIA hotline and let them know that this could happen.
