Prager University with another solid video. This one tells the racist history of the Democratic Party and how that racism continues to this day in the form of social welfare programs.

90+% of Democrats who voted against the Civil Rights Act died as Democrats.

Nah, totally different, but each does off a certain level of control. Slavery is blatant control.

Government entitlements are passed off as being compassionate while at the same time, whether by design or circumstance, serves to control a large portion of the population and ensures a nice voting block for the Dims.

the impoverishment is the same thing

only one of them is worse...it's voluntary and Democrats are actively duping them into believing it's a good thing

Saying "vote for us and we'll give you stuff" doesn't really sound like control to me.

I certainly believe the architects behind leftist policy realize they are creating a dependent class and its by design

A ringing endorsement of the Democratic platform. At least you can admit the corruption that you espouse.

So is this link suggesting that the Republican Party is the party of racial tolerance and openness? Didn't get that memo.

Neither Dem or Republican cares for openness or tolerance. It's about power.

Identical. I always have found that argument to be disingenuous. The racists basically just deserted the Democrat Party for the Republican Party during the Sixties.

It more like "We already give you stuff but if you don't re-elect us then the other guys will take your stuff and you will starve to death because you can't make it without us"

What? If it's control, it's control only in the vague sense that all politics is control (and therefore isn't peculiar to entitlements). Politicians promise interest groups things they want. Business owners want more tax cuts. Minorities want more legal protections. Poor people want... wait for it... more money.

The sad thing is I think that there are Democrats that believe this. Republicans have always been the party of individual equality. The problem is what people call equality today is in-equality just shifted the other way.

A pattern of continued behavior to entice a group to keep you in power, if it's effective, is control. It's not exclusive to the Dems.

However I think it's a bit evil how they manipulate the poor.
