I was never big on this "wall" shite. We have enough high tech capabilities to patrol every mile of the US/Mexico border with drones, ground sensors, etc.
We could also build training bases for US forces (Army/Marines) every 200 miles or so and have them patrol the border as part of their training using the latest high tech surveillance equipment.
Now that's a deterrent if you're a drug smuggler knowing there are thousands of US troops waiting for your arse!
