They're desperate. This is even after Comey told everyone the Russians had nothing to do with TRUMP.

It is truly hilarious.
Even the semi cuckish senator from North Carolina called losing Comey a great loss for the FBI and this nation.

Comey's testimony required a correction from his own agency. This is clear incompetence.
He had months to prepare and yet STILL fails to give clear and accurate testimony about such a critical matter about which he is supposed to be the most fully conversant person in the world?
The Commander in Chief has lost confidence in his ability to lead his agency. He has been relieved of his duties.
This happens a LOT in the US military. In the military, a Commander need only make one mistake -- ONE is enough to warrant relief from your Command, if your Boss says so.
Why should Comey be held to a lower standard than a 25 year old Infantry Captain? Comey has already been given a pass for his past mistakes. He screwed up again at his recent testimony? How many times should POTUS allow this guy to be a frick-up?

Most of them wanted to fire Comey. Democrats in particular rotate Comey in and out of the blame game for Hillary's embarrassing defeat.
They hated Comey until Trump fired him.

Comey should have been canned day 1. This is the guy that laid out an incredibly damning case against Clinton point by point, then didn't recommend a prosecution or even an investigation by a special prosecutor, saying it's ok she broke all these national security laws because she didn't know she was breaking the law (despite intent not being relevant to the statutes in question)

He was pretty clear in his testimony the other day why he did it. Not a good look for him because he has no power to prosecute...but felt that was the the way to go because the DOJ was so corrupt that they wouldn't prosecute Clinton in spite of what he had outlined.
