Hysterical how Terri Sewell from Alabama is hiding there on the right. You can barely see her head. She's like, "I have to be here and Barack is my boy, but I need to get re-elected and not be stupid. So torn..."

Are they suggesting whitness symbolizes purity and the very highest echelons of our society?

Thread yesterday about the isis child soldiers letters home telling their families not to wear black (the color of mourning) for him as he was to become a martyr.

Regardless, the optics are abysmal at best. They stood out like a sore thumb and looked like the clan. Not to mention it was obvious as hell when they would act like petulant children and neither stand nor clap.

And let's not forget the scattering of the cockroaches at the end.

And you think that original letter was in English? Nice. (To be fair, the colors do vary by nation and subculture, but black is a mourning color in the West, and the Mediterranean - it is largely not the color associated with mourning in the Muslim faith - white predominates there - as it does with their religious practices - they largely wear white to Friday services, for example.)

Examples: See here - and these may be Med or westernized to a degree (otherwise influenced by the western traditions) - lots of dark/black - of course lots of western clothes - but the body is in white.

Here is a mixed attendance - the more traditional the dress, the more likely it is to be white:

And finally - far more common in heavily Muslim areas:

Coffee is the drink of Islam - just FYI, they invented it.

Y'all better stay away from that evil stuff

I said that? Hm.

but the body is in white.

Well, bodies have been buried in white linen for as long as we have written record. Seeing as the body is dead, and therefore unable to mourn for their own death, I'm not sure what that has to do anything.

But hey, who knows. I was simply stating what the thread yesterday said. And since I'm from the west, my confirmation bias agrees with black = mourning white = purity
