They are supposed to be the same value as the British pound and accepted anywhere in the UK...except they ain't...you go to a store in Edinborough and buy anything and you will be charged a different price when they see you are paying in pounds-scot instead. Go to the bank and you will be issued Scottish Pounds....but if you exchange them for Euros or $ at a currenct exchange OR your bank you will be VERY disappointed in how low their value is. Again the Scottish version is supposed to be equal to the British version but it is not
