*Yes, I know it doesn't add up to 100% but screw that little detail......

I'd say mainly Obama and Reid.
Granted, not a lot Obama could do campaign wise when his approval is in the 40's, but the fact he's at that point, and many people feel discontent with his policies put the Dems in a bad spot to begin with (especially with it being a mid term election). Didn't help that his handling of foreign policy has come under a lot of fire with the rise of ISIS, the way overhyped Ebola, as well as the domestic issues (sluggish economy still, immigration, etc.) You're the man in charge, so you catch the heat when it isn't going well.
Reid IMO gets a lot of blame too though, he gambled that if he could lock up the Senate to prevent any major votes that could look bad for dems they could squeak by the election by blaming it on the reps. We saw last night that 1. It didn't work, and 2. It could possibly have hurt his party as people are fed up with a "broken" Washington.
Pelosi? Is she even relevant anymore?
Edit: TLDR I know.
Obama 50%
Reid 50%

Good post. Using the dems own math equations to get 100+100+100=100.
ACA baby.

It's not entirely untrue. A lot of moderate dems probably stayed home last night because of the discontent with how the party has performed the last few years.
In addition, a lot of the young voters that came out for 2012 don't give a damn about senate elections, they don't take the time to learn about them, and only bother when the "important" presidential election is up.
Ironic that in this case uneducated voters probably did hurt dems this time because of that issue with young voters. I could probably count on my hand how many of my classmates bothered to vote.
However, the idea it's the only reason they lost is indeed laughable.

Obama all the way. Why do you think Grimes refused to admit that she voted for him? Midterms always reflect the president's popularity.

Ultimately, it falls on Obama, because Reid's actions in the Senate were to protect him. Pelosi is really a non-factor. So...
Obama - 95%
Reid - 5%
Pelosi - 0%
Obama - 95%
Reid - 5%
Pelosi - 0%

People haven't forgotten her, "You have to pass it to know what's in it." nonsense. She has to shoulder more of the blame.
I put it:
Obama 55%
Pelosi 15%
Reid 30%

According to MSNBC it was the democrat base. Obama has ran out of carrots.
When everything is free, why get out of bed, put down the video game, and vote.

The moderate voters of America who seem to be as solid in their convictions as jello and are fickle as can be.

Does it bother anyone else that the merits of the candidates that were elected are not even considered as a factor in their wins?

Did it matter to you in 2006?
