It's already being called "The Biden Curtain," as new videos from Lahaina, Maui, reveal miles of black curtains erected to prevent people from seeing what's happening at the origin site of this month's catastrophic wildfires in Hawaii.

Geoff Cygnus, a citizen journalist on TikTok, posted the video, with a caption reading: "Miles and miles of black fencing being put up in Lahaina. Ground Zero is now behind the Biden curtain."

quote:

"There seems to be a huge emphasis on ensuring that the media and anyone else can't see what's going on," Cygnus reported.

quote:

In addition to the National Guard, Cygnus says there are "regular police, and what I have dubbed 'special police,' which are these police cars that are foreign made. The people that are driving them are not – they don't look like any police I've ever seen in the United States. So kind of a bizarre situation, but they have a huge presence standing guard ensuring that nothing can be documented."

quote:

Meanwhile, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, reportedly says it was asked by Maui officials to stop posting "new imagery of damage/disaster/debris starting now."

quote:

A letter posted on X by Anthony Cabassa shows an Aug. 19 correspondence from FEMA Office of External Affairs Director Justin Angel Knighten, who states:

"They are asking for a full stop in disaster imagery going forward. At this time, we have not been asked to take any photos or videos down. Our team on the ground is coordinating with the County for further guidance to ensure we remain fully aligned. Cultural sensitivity is of the utmost importance in all our response and recovery activities to this disaster."

It’s simply stunning to step back sometimes and realize this is the America we live in today.

Had someone told me as a younger person back in the 70s/80s what types of things this government would openly do and get away with in the year 2023, I’d have never believed them.

We’ve regressed so much in the past 30 to 40 years. The technology can’t be matched today but everything else has gone down the crapper.

Sobering times.

How is it the "Biden Curtain" when the federal government (FEMA) is the one being asked by the local officials to not post images and video?

If I had to guess, this probably has something to do with the hundreds of bodies they are finding in the rubble.

Whatever happened is certainly being covered up, literally. So many "coincidence's" and the secrecy tells us this wasn't a natural disaster.

The absolute nerve of the people who lost their homes, loved ones, pets, etc., to not want disaster tourists inundating the place.

The TikTok citizen journalists need to show photographs of the destruction is obviously more important.

Playing devil's advocate...

Security - to keep looter's away and reduce the amount of traffic hindering clean-up. Maybe they didn't want him stopping and blocking the road?

"Black Curtain" - maybe to keep dust and debris from blowing onto the road?

"Foreign police cars" - FEMA rentals? Without photos of cars and the police in question, hard to tell what he was talking about.

Would need to compare measures to other catastrophes, esp massive fires in populated areas.

The "curtain" is certainly a new one to me...

Did he try filming from water side in some of those areas? Try riding a bike or walking by the fence to see how they respond.

The cynic in me things this will give rich and powerful people the ability to buy up more of the island at discount prices....

Everyone please!

This was man-made...........think about it: Hawaii is already a Dem playground right, and why are Bezos, Okra, and Smuckersdick so interested in all of this? You can only get to this place by plane or boat, so it would make the perfect sanctuary for Dems to go seclude themselves when the real "Insurrection" possibly takes place from the Dem side. And the really sad part about this is Hawaiians have voted blue forever, so I'm sorry but this is partly self-inflicted. It's time for all Dem voters to wake up and realize your guys never have and never will do anything for you, but inflict pain and sorrow for the sake of their own pockets.

Green laser beams spotted off Hawaii were from Chinese satellite, experts say

The Jerusalem Post
quote:

Mysterious green laser beams that were spotted over Hawaii last month most likely came from Chinese satellites, experts said after originally claiming the lights were from NASA.

Scientists at the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) tweeted that the space agency’s Subaru-Asahi Star Camera on Mauna Kea “captured green laser lights in the cloudy sky over Maunakea, Hawai’i” on Jan. 28, showing a clip of numerous ominous green beams shooting across the sky.

quote:

“The lights are thought to be from a remote-sensing altimeter satellite ICESAT-2/43613” — a NASA craft, the agency said.

On Feb. 6, NOAJ issued a correction on their video stating that the “most likely candidate” was the Chinese Daqi-1/AEMS satellite after the ICESat-2 team ran a simulation of satellite trajectories.

quote:

The corrected statement comes amid expanding tensions between the US and China after several foreign objects — including a Chinese spy balloon — breached US airspace.

Was this the trial run?

And folks on the left laughed and laughed and laughed, when Trump set up the Space Force. Never once thinking that he might have seen something concerning like this.

Never trust an administration that supports drag shows for children and pornographic books in schools, but censors the media in the name of, "sensitivity."

It's fricking bullshite, and you know it.

The media only recently reported on the deaths in Maui.
Now FEMA, allegedly in response to a request from Maui County officials, wants a “full stop” on all imagery, photos, and videos as they clean up the disaster.
They say it’s out of respect for the victims.

THE FEMA NOTICE
“Out of respect for those who perished,” the FEMA notice reads, we were asked by Maui County officials to pause on posting on social media and elsewhere new imagery of damage/disaster/debris starting now. They are asking for a full stop on disaster imagery going forward. At this time, we have not been asked to take any photos or videos down. Our team on the ground is coordinating with the county for further guidance to ensure we remain fully aligned.
