This has been a glorious week, folks.
I believe Trump has an opportunity to do great things. He will need to seize that opportunity "big league" though. Otherwise it may be fleeting.

Perspective:
During this process I repeatedly said the GOP had a unique advantage running against the most flawed candidate the Dems had ever fielded. I said any of several GOP candidates could have beaten her. (They could have) Amongst that group, Trump was one of the most likely to struggle in the general election. So much so that the HRC team angled to run against Trump.

Well . . . schadenfreude struck!
It struck hard!
President Donald Trump . . .
and it has been fantastic!

But here in graphic form is what I was pointing out. While we can all bask in the warm glow of Trump's win (Hillary's defeat). This was about HRC's weakness. Both Romney and McCain garnered similar vote totals to DJT and were soundly defeated.

Not all the votes has been counted yet, and Trump still won despite a sizable portion of his supposed base sitting out(The #NeverTrump crowd)

It was pointed out by many on this board throughout the year that both candidates were tailor made to lose to each other.

Only one was able to accomplish that.

Lol

There wasn't one other candidate that could've won Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Not one. It's okay to admit you are wrong, and that Trump's strategy paid off.

Initial reports are that over 90% of registered Republicans that voted came home to him at the end.

It was potential Hillary voters that either voted elsewhere or stayed home.

One very small bit of Poliboard bad news is that the "Democrats and liberals will vote for Hillary no matter what while cucks are abandoning Trump in droves" talking point is finished. Not that it won't stop y'all from repeating it non-stop.

It would be a poor assumption to assume that just because their bars are the same height that the people who composed those bars are the same people.

I'm not discounting the weakness of Hillary here. Merely observing that there was some staying home on both sides. It's not like everyone who voted Romney voted Trump and only former Obama voters stayed home.

Yeah, I objectively do not see one other candidate who could've pulled off what Trump did in the rust belt.

I'll second that. The other candidates would have had those states blue. Now they would have gotten more popular vote than Trump, but not where it was needed.

For all of the votes Trump lost, he gained votes in the RIGHT PLACES. Namely, those battleground states.

Without Trump's radical departure from GOPe polices those people would have never been compelled to vote for the R candidate.

Total votes mean very little.

Trump had limited resources compared to McCain and Romney; consequently, he shepherded the resources he had and didn't try in many of the states he had no shot.

Who cares if you lose by a million or two million in Cali? Who cares if you get 35 or 40 percent of the vote in Washington, Oregon etc.

It's all about get 270 electoral votes, Trump knew that and despite the GOP stuffed shirts denying him help, he won anyway.

History will show that Kasich, Bush and the others stood by and permitted Hillary Clinton to walk into the White House until the American voter said hell no.

Lol. If ever there was a picture of how truly terrible these candidates were. They both got less votes than freaking John McCain and Romney.

Trump won PA, WI, and MI by one pt or less.

Other Reps may not have won those states.

Trump is an Electoral nightmare for Dems.

What's fun is, nobody can with a straight face any longer cite to "the polls" to support their argument as to who else might have been able to do this because Trump proved those all but worthless this cycle
