WTH gives with Texas. One elector resigns because of religious views about Trump. Now another refuses to vote for Trump because of Trump attacking the first ammendment???? Has someone screwed with the water there and can he be removed?

I'll never understand electors that think their voice is more important than the thousands that voted.

The one that resigned did it correctly; he will be replaced by an alternate. The other guy is a douche if he becomes a faithless elector. He was chosen to do a job - submit an electoral vote to the candidate who won the state, not vote on his own personal preference. If he can't in good conscious do his job, he should be removed.

Sounds like an anti-vaxxer anarchist libertarian who has a big fat 20-year Army socialist pension and who supports squelching the free speech of racists and others he disagrees with. Don't touch my Medicare!

He's essentially Kim Davis - he thinks he's some great intellectual that the founders would appreciate but he's actually a dumb cuck filled with delusions of grandeur

I can't see them not removing him. Didn't these electors take an oath to fufill their job? Apparently he has no problem squashing the rights of others.

He needs to be let go for even speaking out saying he wouldn't carry the voice of the majority which is what he's supposed to do. Just shut up and do what you were put in place to do.

I know this one is from the black majority district in Dallas. I believe the other is from Sheila Jackson Lee's district in Houston.

Maybe those areas are so far gone that there isn't anyone sane to pick from them.
