They also have to put up with non-stop sanctions, fda, epa, and cdc inspections. My grandfather was a rancher. It is an up before sunrise, and you don't got to bed until late type of way life. Not to mention vet cost, feed, equipment and fuel cost.
There is a reason they tend to get pretty unrulely when they feel their way of life is being threatened. This is not just a job for them. It is their life.

Nothing wrong with citizens treating their government like and adversarial relationship.
You have to. It's exactly how big government treats the citizen.

I have the feeling that no matter what my rebuttal is, your belief is that their wealth flows from the Beneficence of The State and not their labor. This often occurs when a Capitalist who understands economic behavior talks to a Statist who think all wealth flows from a spout in Washington.
I'll let everybody in The West know their work is and always has been a socialist enterprise.

Those folks who eke out a living in the void spaces on the map only can do so because of rich, urban big government lovers who live in NYC, DC, Chicago and the California Coast, evidently.

Facts are facts. American History isn't a John Wayne movie.

It's not all an episode of Good Times either.

government-subsidized railroads

The West has always been a socialist enterprise.

The BLM probably got a directive from the Sec. of the Interior, who had gotten one from the White House. They didn't want people to die over a cow issue.
My money is on Harry Reid. Once the Harry Reid - China solar power connection became public the BLM backed down. Interesting.

I see that shows he talks about a range war now, but you said BLM didnt take his cattle for over a decade because of his threats. The ABC link made no mention of that
quote:
Despite a running tab of court injunctions, complaints and conservation conflicts involving the BLM, the National Park Service, Clark County and environmental groups, and nearly $1 million in fines, Bundy has continued to run cattle on the federally-owned Bunkerville Allotment in the southern tip of Nevada, about 100 miles from Las Vegas. Over the years, the Department of Justice has more than once canceled BLM plans to round up the trespass cattle after blatant threats of violence from Bundy and his supporters, says Alan O’Neill, retired superintendent of the Lake Mead National Recreation Area adjacent to the allotment. The sieges at Ruby Ridge and Waco that fueled the ‘90s anti-government militia movement were fresh, he explains. “We were trying everything we could to resolve the issue peacefully. But he got more and more recalcitrant.”

Yes, I fully expect goverment to claim he is evil.
however, I have facts and a litany of evidence as to the evil of government, and its pattern of mendacious propaganda.
