In general, the Left believes wholeheartedly in their own righteousness. They are all about "signaling" their "virtues" rather than actually being virtuous.

To liberals, normalize means "shove it down their throats and demonize if they object"
First they forced us to accept gays and uphold their sinful, disease spreading practices as morally upright
If you try to make a tv show or commercial without interracial couples it won't get aired (it's always a white girl)
Now they are forcing the tranny agenda, that they aren't mentally ill attention whores with a 75% suicide rate and that you should let them in the bathroom with your kids

The OP's primary complaint does accurately describe a significant portion of the left, I'm not disputing that. My point is that if we want to avoid the failures of the left, we should be wary of adopting those mindsets that they use to justify their actions (i.e., willfully overlooking their own blatant hypocrisy). It clearly is not working out well for them.
