quote:

“The utter contempt with which privileged Eastern liberals such as myself discuss red-state, gun-country, working-class America as ridiculous and morons and rubes is largely responsible for the upswell of rage and contempt and desire to pull down the temple that we’re seeing now,” Bourdain said in an interview with Reason magazine.

quote:

“I’ve spent a lot of time in gun-country, God-fearing America,” Bourdain continued. “There are a hell of a lot of nice people out there, who are doing what everyone else in this world is trying to do: the best they can to get by and take care of themselves and the people they love. When we deny them their basic humanity and legitimacy of their views, however different they may be than ours, when we mock them at every turn and treat them with contempt, we do no one any good.”

Gets it...to a certain degree.

No he's still a douche that literally thinks Trump is going to be Mussolini.

But at least he acknowledges why they failed.

Bourdain is a condescending prick...but he obviously understands the "loss" on a higher level.

His quote on Bill Maher is great. Maher has always been a smug leftist a-hole but he's been all in since he dropped the charade of being a libertarian.

I remember Bourdain discussing how there will not be peace and stability until the whites are all mixed to a mocha color with a restaurant owner from Cologne, Germany on one episode.

The guy doesn't seem to like Gentiles unless they happen to be the self-destructive types.

Bourdain is an American treasure and is one of a dying breed of originals. He comes from life experience which he has garnered by being a world famous chef and later television personality and author. He has see a huge chunk of this world and actually interacted and hung out with average citizens in those countries. I would definitely be interested in the perspective of someone who had that much life experience.

Your views? For one you think transgender is a mental disorder, which is fricking stupid. Many here deserve to be ridiculed.

We're all super racist, sexist, homophobic, and islamophobic.

Bourdain is saying we're all just a little racist, sexist, homophobic, and islamophobic, but when you're mean to people who think like that, it doesn't help win elections.

Well you got it, he called President Elect Trump the worst things one person can call another, he gave you his opinion, now he wants you to buy his products, whatever snake oil he is selling.

He flat intimidated anyone in his industry to go against him, he gave you his opinion, need hearing aides do you

I do not pay attention to frauds like Anthony Bourdain or the tabloid network that hosts his political shows.
