I think this is just a correction spurred by the kung flu hype.
I did not stay at a HIE last night however.

Trump seriously needs to stop using the stock market to legitimize his economic agenda
Peter Schiff, on a JRE podcast 2-3 years ago, expressed the worry that he was tying his presidency to closely to the market's performance and that a correction could tank him.
That being said, no one knew the Dem field would be such a clown show with an avowed socialist leading the pack...so who the frick knows.

redleg guy and irishtiger89, do you guys truly believe it would be fair to do that?
Under such logic, EVERY LEADER IN THE WORLD, from Boris Johnson to Morrison to trudeau, could be blamed for an economic slide

you dont sell when it falls, you buy. (buy lo/sell high)
if you could see the future and know it was about to fall then you sell, and buy after the fall
otherwise hold where you are

Stock market just fell off a cliff... -1,193.70
It’s 4.42%.
The 600+ point drop the first trading day after 9/11 was a bigger percentage drop than today.
Again, focus on the S&P rather than the Dow. Coincidentally, they both dropped by the same percentage, but the Dow is price weighted and doesn’t represent the market as well as S&P 500.

China is currently reopening for business. All of our suppliers restarted this week
It’s like the fear mongering had to wait until the worst had passed?
It’s the flu. A bad version of the flu. But just the tricking flu

A Surprise is driving the market down, Corona Virus wasn't the Surprise
Good article saying that Corona might not be the thing spooking the markets.
