State of New York to spend 2 M on taxpayer money to resettle Syrian refugees.

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) - Assemblyman Sean Ryan says he is happy with the New York State budget and praised the $2 million included for refugee resettlement across the state. Money will be allocated to cities based on the number of refugees settled in each location.
This funding means the 90 day resettlement assistance period is expanded to five months. This ensures a smooth transition and better support so refugees can find jobs and homes, learn the language and become more integrated into their local communities.
Local leaders say Western New York will continue to accept refugees, despite President Donald Trump's proposed travel bans.
"The message was clear," said Assemblyman Ryan. "We need to invest in refugee resettlement. It's the right thing to do. It's the humanitarian thing to do and its the smart economic thing to do."

"This is what we do in this community," said Mayor Byron Brown. "That is never, ever going to change no matter what they say in Washington, D.C." Last year, Erie County alone received 36% of the state's resettled refugee population. The budget also includes $10 million to give legal assistance to immigrants across the state. This includes detainees at the detention center in Batavia.

There have been 2,302 refugees resettled in this year alone in the state of NY. 566 have come since Trump has held office according to Breitbart.
2 M too much for the citizens of NY?
Too little?

Sounds like they don't need as much federal funding now.

Its always been about breeding out the white race.

Do what?
That's the dumbest thing I've read this morning. It may be good for his personal finances but it's not the "smart economic thing to do".

Has there been any studies that have shown how this may affect property values in our economy?
I hear Europe kind of just puts them up in slums with each other in little pockets that breed hate.
I don't think I'd be happy with my local government had I grown up there. Maybe I'm jaded it just hasn't come to my neighborhood?

If you sprinkle the arsenic out, rather than in a concentrated dose, it takes longer to work but is harder to notice.

I've been told since elementary school in the early to mid 80s that eventually whites won't exist and we'll all look like some mix of black / ME / and Hispanic. Guess the white people weren't allowing it to happen fast enough so they decided to open our borders to the ones that will change it while brainwashing the youth of this country to think their white skin color is "bad"

I'm not putting my seal of approval on this train of thought, but I think his point is that once you have refugees here, it's probably in our best interest to allocate resources to getting them integrated in our society; otherwise, they turn to other means (e.g. crime) to get along. In the long run it's cheaper to allocate the resources up front.

Real Americans should go out there and protest - and bring bacon

It amazes me that a state with so many homeless people can spend money to house foreigners in spite of all of those already living there on the streets.

Sean Ryan sounds like an idiot

If you give the refugees trucks they'll "assimilate" into a crowd

If you love refugees so much why don't you open up your home to them and save some money for the taxpayer?

Where did I claim to love refugees? Find a post, dickwad.

Seems like the right place for the rant - I really hate how New York State calculates no resident income tax.
Wife works in New York State and I work in New Jersey. We live in New Jersey so we have file a NJ tax return and a New York State non-resident tax return.
What New York wants you to do is file jointly even though I have zero New York income. They then want to tax us at that higher income rate, and figure out pro-rata share based on that higher percentage. What is worse is New Jersey State start phasing out income tax paid to other states, and I wouldn't even get credit on my NJ return.
I end up filling in New York State married filing separately even though we are joint on Federal.
Long story short I hate Northeast taxes

So they are only paying 868 bucks per refugee? Pretty good.
