It's relevant when it comes to introducing bills or do they not need the majority vote to pass any longer? It has been quite some time since I've taken a civics class.

No, I'm saying a lot of independents don't get represented by independents due to the two party system. Most bills benefit the party they represent, as you would expect.
Once again my main point of wanting them to work together is the most relevant to me.
