Do you live in or near Atlanta? Depending on your neighborhood, you might not see much difference.

But nationwide, Starbucks is going to take a beating. it's already started, imo.

Edit- See Target for evidence of how effective boycotts can be. Funny how this left-wing tool is being used effectively by the good guys now.

I assume New England prefers lighter coffee considering they're obsessed with DD

But, how can reduced sales not ultimately affect the bottom line?
It would affect it, but we don't know if there are reduced sales. In fact, the article is the OP is misrepresenting the Credit Suisse statements regarding sales.

Here is the dailymail statement:
quote:

Analysts at Credit Suisse also say the move is damaging their sales
And here is the CNBC article it cited:
quote:

The backlash from some consumers about Starbucks' decision to eventually hire 10,000 refugees worldwide could negatively impact sales in the near term, according to analysts at Credit Suisse, who reiterated a hold rating on the coffee seller.
So the dailymail article changed the one of the keywords (could to is), and it completely changed the meaning.

This is the second time a dailymail article has either made a change (OP article), or left out key details that have completely changed the meaning of the story. The white couple who was sentenced to long prison sentences for threatening to murder people while POINTING A GUN, but left out the gun part, was even more egregious.

I wonder where the Starbucks drop in sales has been geographically. It has been dropping for a bit in Europe.

The US for Starbucks has been in good shape but overseas it has been an issue for a little while.

I see in the link posted that Starbucks has still not figured out what to do with the mobile app situation screwing up wait times for walk in customers.

Interesting selection of places. I've read about coffee history in the US. Places like Miami, New Orleans, and other traditional ports from Latin American coffee shipping still prefer stronger coffee.

Places like the Montana, Colorado etc prefer very light coffee. It's because back in the 1800s coffee was rationed as it was shipped farther from the port of entry. The taste people developed in the 1800s has been passed down through generations.

So, even though coffee is plentiful everywhere in America the preferences still differ by geography.
I've had coffee in Colorado. It looks like tea.

Interesting stuff, Zach.

Have you ever tried Black Rifle coffee? They seem to be experiencing an uptick in sales lately.

Then again, I'm not sure there are any Black Rifle stores. That Starbucks store in Shreveport is lucky to have your business.

Zach wouldn't dare take the chance of being murdered in Shreveport.

He stays safe in his utopia of Bossier City.

Finally my life long boycott is paying off.

I could not care less what the owners of a company do or think in their private lives. But, I never will do business with a company that is a supporter of leftist politics.

Really? If so, that means he drives all the way from Bossier City to play golf across the street from my Dad, who lives near Blanchard.

That's a fairly long trip just to play a round of golf.

I don't think they have Black Rifle here.
Shreveport has 3 SB stand alone stores but I never go to any of them because I live almost an hour away.
There are 2 stand alone SB stores here in Bossier. They both do very good business. There are also 2 'in other store' stands in Bossier that don't do much business at all. All 4 places are within 2 miles of each other. That's what's hurting the little 'in other store' places.

Nope. I have coffee at 5:30 a.m. The murderers in Shreveport go to sleep at 3 a.m. The cops covering the hood get most of their action from 10 pm to 2 a.m. It's like rush hour for criminals. There is no crime in Bossier at any hour.

Actually that's not true. Medit males achieve puberty much earlier. Since I'm French/Spanish that = Medit and I reached puberty just before turning 11. Girls of any ethnicity also achieve puberty according to body weight. Fat girls can get there at 8 or 9.

My son's genetics give him a propensity to hyperactivity regardless of puberty. It goes way back to when his ancestors herded sheep for a living.

Either he's just completely making everything up, or he's referring to his animals (likely dogs) as children.

Hence, his "black" 7 year old with arthritis.
