Jesus, how much more of a circus could Washington DC be?

Dems can't do anything but throw a bitch fit.

Pubs can't keep from stepping on their own cock.

WHat a completely dysfunctional clusterfrick.

off topic, but did we ever find out what the Agents recommended to Comey for the Hillionaire inquiry? Or did Comey just put the kubosh on it himself?

Not that I recall.

Two secret letters the FBI sent to the State Department have revealed for the first time that the bureau's investigation into Hillary Clinton's private email server, and the classified emails sent through it, stemmed from a so-called "Section 811" referral from the Intelligence Community's Inspector General (ICIG). The ICIG determined that classified, national security information in Clinton's emails may have been "compromised" and shared with "a foreign power or an agent of a foreign power."

quote:

The two letters, dated October 23, 2015 and January 20, 2016, and marked "For Official Use Only," were written by Peter Strzok and Charles H. Kable IV, the section chiefs of the FBI's counterespionage section, and sent to Gregory B. Starr, the assistant secretary at the State Department's Bureau of Diplomatic Security. They were written while the FBI was investigating Clinton's use of an unsecure, private email server and the dissemination of classified information. "The potential compromise was identified when, as part of a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request [by VICE News], the U.S. Department of State (DoS) and the ICIG reviewed electronic mail (email) communications from the private email accounts previously used by a former Secretary of State during her tenure at DoS," Kable wrote. "An initial review of this material identified emails containing national security information later determined by the US Intelligence Community to be classified up to the Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information Level."

Trump wants to push the button so bad. How much longer will he hold off?

I don't advocate Trump firing Mueller, other than I'd like to see MSNBC and CNN go apoplectic, but if he did, what would then happen? Didn't either the House or the Senate say fine.. we'll simply appoint him or something of that nature? Because he can't fire him and "that be that".

it would be a last gasp to stop the investigation.

a) it would likely end up in the courts. As mueller could just say "no, you can't fire me" and from what I read he might be right.

b) it would definitely heat up impeachment talks for obstruction of justice

c) the senate or house could hire him, although he might not have the same authority.

d) leaks galore.

Mueller is smart. He is probably quite aware that he is at risk of being fired. I would be surprised if he hasn't taken steps to provide information to others to stop this from being the end of the investigation.

the whole point of Mueller hiring these lawyers is to get Trump to end the investigation, which he should imo

Rhee is one of several attorneys to resign from the WilmerHale law firm to join Mueller's investigation.

She also has two years of DOJ experience, serving as deputy assistant attorney general under former Attorney General Eric Holder. She advised Holder and Obama administration officials on criminal law issues, as well as criminal procedure and executive issues, according to her biography on WilmerHale's website.

As many critics of Mueller's investigation have pointed out, Rhee represented Hillary Clinton in a 2015 lawsuit that sought access to her private emails. She also represented the Clinton Foundation in a 2015 racketeering lawsuit.

I think mueller is going for a conviction. THus the lawyers.

If trump fires him, it will bring the end game very quickly. Either he is impeached, or we get a mandate for trump's policies.
