I really don’t get it. Aside from the bribery and kickbacks that went on, what was the justification of seeking this commodity to Russia?

It seems hat any nation that has uranium would want to keep it all for themselves let alone sell it to another nation.

Has anyone really developed into how or why this was good for the US at any level?

ETA: Could not Trump administration undue this deal, if it’s still in place, under a national security reasoning?

Selling Uranium interests to our enemies is never good.

Neither is using your foundation to sell influence but that's another story. Wait, they are actually connected, aren't they?

So what gives? All these companies committees regarding his deal met strictly to help the Clinton foundation? What was in it for the other members?

I would call that treason, but, hey, that's just me.

The ole LTD (Liberal Trickle Down) theory.

It was very, very good for a few select Americans. Those few select Americans then hoped to use the money to put themselves in position to help all Americans*

This question presupposes that doing something in the best interest of the Clinton Foundation is doing something in the best interest of the US.

There is no evidence to suggest that such supposition is warranted.

Pretty sure they can rescind the deal regardless of referencing it as a security matter or not.

Uranium is better for nuclear reactors, because it has less radioactivity and therefor is less devastating in the event of a catastrophic situation.

Plutonium is better for nuclear weapons for pretty much the same reason.

Both can, obviously, be used for the other purpose though. My statement makes no assumptions as to the purpose that the Russians would use it for (though building more nuclear weapons, while absurd considering the size of Russia's stockpile, feels like something Putin would do - and having less powerful nuclear weapons to use on neighbors wouldn't surprise me at all).
