I must be missing something. Trump won the White House by promising to repeal Obamacare.
Presumably he won districts whose congressman are up in 2018.
How exactly does this hurt the Republicans holding these seats? Their constituents sent a POTUS to the White House to do just what their elected House members just did.
What am I missing?

Nothing, your post is logical
But voters aren't often, and Democrats know this
It's not at all out of the realm of possibility that some of the same voters who elected Trump to repeal Obamacare will bitch and whine and vote out GOP incumbents in the midterms because they messed with the ACA
This is why conservatives are in an almost impossible situation on the ACA at this point

This is a massively unpopular piece of legislation that will be hung around the necks of all the Congressmen in swing districts dumb enough to vote for it.

They remember the arse beating they took in the House after Obamacare was forced through. They know the same thing is going to happen to the other side if this thing becomes law.

Basically a bunch of toothless fatass Trumpkins don't realize that they're actually ON Obamacare because they don't understand that its the same as the ACA. When they find out that they're going to have to pay for their own diabeetus medicine there will be hell to pay.

Haven't you repeatedly said it won't become law?

Trump toured the country promising that his healthcare plan would expand coverage, lower premiums, and not cut Medicaid. Do you think people will be happy when at least 2/3 of these promises are broken?

Are you stupid? How do you think people enrolled in Obamacare? Was it magic? Random, secret enrollment where bills and renewals were suppressed.

Hilarious. You just described Obamacare.

Because of the part right after what you bolded dipshit. You think shite shows up at toothless Trumpkin households with a return address "Department of Obamacare"?
Posted on 5/4/17 at 4:13 pm to Covingtontiger77
Because Democrats are generally stupid as shite.
Posted on 5/4/17 at 4:14 pm to AUbused
OK. You haven't seen ACA materials. I get it. Carry on.

After Trump fans on this board argued that the intelligence and knowledge of most Trump supporters approaches astronomical levels of stupidity, I'm inclined to believe you. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but this board doesn't.

I don't remember it, but apparently the republicans did it in 1993 to the congressman that casted the deciding vote on Clinton's budget. She was defeated and supposedly it was because she voted for it.
so it's a play on that.

The Republicans lifted the albatross from their necks over the disastrous Obamacare.

Not republicans it is just the house. Then it will look like shite when the CBO comes out.

According to the AP they didn't-
quote:
Jubilant Republicans, celebrating what they hope will soon be the demise of "Obamacare," sang the pop song, "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye" as the end of the voting neared.
Posted on 5/4/17 at 5:08 pm to Covingtontiger77
Republicans in 1993 sang this when the House passed Clinton's tax bill.
Sounds like they were trolling.
quote:
This is both an homage and a literal repetition of what Republicans did when the Clinton tax bill passed in the House in 1993. Same singing, same song. The bill paved the way for budget balancing over the course of the decade and (more arguably) played a role in creating the prosperity of that decade. It also came little more than a year before Democratic majorities in both Houses were annihilated in the 1994 midterm.
Sounds like they were trolling.

This is a shitty bill that doesn't repeal Obamacare.
