Socialist Nirvana Venezuela Refusing Humanitarian Aid

"They are stopping everything from going in. They are taking everything for themselves."
"Venezuelans have struggled in recent years to get their hands on all types of medical supplies from over-the-counter pain killers to infection-fighting antibiotics as the country grapples with widespread shortages and soaring inflation rates brought on by economic mismanagement from the socialist government in Caracas. The lack of equipment like respirators has become so dire that babies are dying in maternity wards from commonplace infirmities that are now considered life-threatening."
"Amid the shortages the Maduro administration has banned numerous items sent to the country from aid agencies and families living abroad. Along with firearms, gas masks, and bullet proof vests, Venezuela has banned innocuous items like antacids, latex gloves, Gatorade, and Neosporin."
All of this while for all intents and purposes keeping their opposition from participating in their upcoming election, the opposition is estimated to have about 80% support.
This is why you don't give up the guns folks. Sad situation down there.

This is why we need a HEMISPHERIC COMMON MARKET

It's the prime model for socialism: keep those in power who already had the power and wealth while suppressing the masses. This ladies and gentlemen is the correct implementation of socialism.

Well, Venezuela opposes market economics - whether they're national or hemispheric.

Then the Globalists can destroy all of the countries of the world, not just Venezuela.

Apparently it's so bad women are crossing into Columbia to prostitute themselves to buy the medicine that remains. Lady in the article said she charges $17 for 15 minutes of sex to pay for her mother's medicine. At that rate they should just save up to fly to Vegas and stay, they'd put them out of business.

Can we drop them some loot crates?

I am sure that is not all we can drop on some of those people there. Denying people humanitarian relief that are in dire need of it is inhuman and deserve to be put down.

While I feel bad for the citizens, that would be yet another mess and large drain on our tax dollars. Terrible situation, but not our problem. They shouldn't have given up the guns. Protesting now is pointless other than to identify yourself as an enemy of the state.

Didn't they vote the socialists in?
Posted on 6/6/17 at 1:43 pm to bencoleman
Yeah they voted Chavez in and Madura was his VP. He assumed office after Chavez's death and won the following election with less popularity than Chavez, but given his current tactics, I do not know how free that election was. Either way, there's still plenty who didn't vote for them that are now suffering, including newborn babies who haven't had a say at all.

I agree about the guns, but they didn't exactly "give them up."

Yes, but with Socialists/Communists, once they are in and it looks like they might lose an election, they stop having free and fair elections.

Let me be clear on my stance on this...frick you. The only people stopping honest trade in Venezuela is the socialistic government. Doing real well for the citizens of North Korea to thumb their nose at all things foreign as well. They have all the oil the can stand but have no resources any longer to get it out of the ground. ExxonMobil sold their assets in Chalmette and is no longer a JV with PDVSA. all they have is Citgo.
Socialism... does not, will not, never has, never will work. period.

Well no, I guess a better way to say this is they should have fought to keep their guns.

And what the frick is this all about?
I found it strange too, my guess is attrition. Helps prevent treatment of those wounded in struggles I guess.

Apparently the socialist regime forgot to ban the importation of red pills.
Hopefully the people can take back their country. They need to get some guerilla groups together with the drug cartels and promise some type of return if they take control of Govt such as protection and non extradition. It's what I'd do

Some accountability is necessary here.
"Chávez [carried forward] this historic liberation of Latin America….He was certainly destructive to the rich oligarchy, to the US power…Over the past ten years, I’ve seen a change of absolutely historic significance. I mean, if you go back to the Conquistadors 500 years ago, I sense that Latin America has been pretty much enthralled to Western force, [to] the United States in most recent times. Now, it’s pretty much free."
- Noam Chomsky, Guggenheim Fellow, professor, philosopher, scientist, social critic, political activist
"Venezuela is seriously conquering poverty by emphatically rejecting the Neo Liberal policies of the world’s financial institutions."
- Jeremy Corbyn, British Member of Parliament, Leader of the Opposition, Leader of the Labour Party
"Venezuela and its revolution will endure under the proven leadership of vice president Maduro."
- Sean Penn, Academy Award winning actor, political activist

"Remember that the catastrophic view of Venezuela’s economy has been promoted by the Venezuelan government’s opponents – including most of the international and Venezuelan media – for 14 years. Economic disaster was always just around the corner, but it never quite happened."
