If it was just an opposing voter he choke slammed, then yeah probably. But since it was a reporter, I'm sure it won't weigh too heavy on the conscious of the people in Montana to still vote for the guy.

Montana is weird - about 2/3 is expected to be mail-in votes, and many of those were already cast.
So while the "Democrats vote early" axiom may be true, there's no guarantee.
