So, NOAA claims record heat in part of globe with no thermometers. LOL

And yet the map in which they have land based sensors looks like this:
What makes it worse is their own satellite photos debunk the claims
And yet when caught with their hand in the cookie jar the head of NASA replies:

uh, because oceans temps are not based on fixed locations, therefore weren't shown in the 2nd graph. But he thought he had a 'gotcha' because the NOAA graph didn't display that info

If they don't have a sensor in the area they extrapolate the data point from the next closest ones ( even if it's hundreds of miles away and different terrain), and then insert it into the data set as though it were a measurement
