What if things have to get so bad in order for not only the Christian church to cry out the Lord but also a mass wave of young people coming to know Jesus? When righteousness is upheld in a land the land will be blessed and prosperous. BUT it is by way of the cross

I've heard how my youngest son (20) and his friends talk. And I know all too well what's important in life to them. Sure part of it is age, but my generation NEVER talked as filthy as these guys do, and NEVER got as stupid as they do... and I ran with the rough crowd, of whom many are still in prison or have been in and out of jail since high school.

Young people, overall, are VERY FAR away from ever turning towards GOD and salvation. Doesn't even matter that we raised them in strong, Christian, family environments. This is the internet generation of expecting instant results and gratification, and they see the world going to hell in a hand basket rapidly, so they just live for the moment and don't care about tomorrow.

Maybe maturity will change some of them, like it did some of us.

It will happen one of two ways: Either we raise the next generation towards righteousness, teaching them the Truth, or we continue to see the decline of society. I personally would love for humility to triumph over pride, for Grace to abound more than condemnation, for people to be free of the bondage of sin…. But it’s going to take a lot people abandoning their own will for their lives and asking God for His Will to be done.

The devil doesn’t need to attack you for you not to follow God’s will for your life. He just has to keep you comfy.

You see the world going in the same direction until it’s demise but history shows us that countries and certain times, the world goes through massive changes. This lifestyle is unsustainable and at some point it will fall apart. When those times come, and they will, all of our lives will change. We will make financial decisions on how much food can we afford, how we heat/cool our houses, who gets the vehicle today and etc. Kids will not be entitled little shits because Karen will be humbled due to very hard real life decisions. Right now, our “stress” and hard times are a joke to 90% of the world. When we become like the rest of the world, we will have to make the same decisions as they do.

Christianity is not popular with the younger generations. At the same time, they seem more lost than the older generations. Coincidence?

It’s has to go this bad because the Bible says so. It’s just a question of is this a pendulum swing or the final descent

You do realize that it was 300 years (longer than our country's existence) of abject persecution after the birth of Christianity before the dominant power of recorded history capitulated and recognized it as a religion? Then a thousand years later it symbolically "died" in the east when Constantinople fell to the Muslims. Now 600 years after that a measly 2.5 billion people are considered practicing Christians.

Yep, it's dying.

Possibly people are not answering the survey truthfully for fear of persecution.

Young people don’t value the church because it doesn’t produce value for them. In the past, the church served as a physical gathering space and a real social pillar. The church wasn’t just accepting of young folks, but catered to them with dances, volunteer events, and social outings designed to let young folks meet one-another. These weren’t just aimed at teens, but young professionals, too. As a result, young professionals met one-another, got married in the church, and raised their kids in the church.

Today, churches tend to cater only to two demographics:
1. Parents of school-aged children, who’s children they want to enroll in their church schools
2. Retirees

As a result, young folks feel pushed out rather than welcomed and included. They feel ostracized rather than uplifted. Young folks really value community, something that feels extremely lacking in our current environment, but they won’t trade their time for community somewhere that feels like they’re not wanted.
