no, they will say it wasn't that big a deal and that the race being this close is a testament to Trump's terrible presidency

This is true. These special elections are happening because Trump picked the incumbents to be in his cabinet, and of course the RNC is only going to let him pick seats that they view as safe. The fact that this seat ISN'T safe is already plenty enough to send a chill down the spine of any intelligent Republican.

All the out of state interest on social media is really funny because it's so trivial so if after all of that he loses and they're stuck with trump until 2018 brings along distractions I'm going to laugh my arse off
