Even satellite radio can keep their mouths shut. I really thought thats what I paid for but... This morning I was treated to anti-police brutality music and just now informed there was special programming for Juneteeth in a few days.

I wonder how it would work if I showed nothing but Milton Freidman non stop on all the tvs at my restaurant.

Madison was the worst thing about Lithium. I hated her nasal voice and liberal bullshite. I just wanted grunge music from the 90s.
Oh well I cancelled not to long ago so thankfully I don’t have to listen to her ever again.

oh you don't like Tom Morello's "one man revolution" segment where the guy that became a multi-millionaire from capitalism and white teenagers buying his CDs chooses songs about anti-capitalism and social justice and lectures you on how hard it was coming up as a black guitarist when people in the crowd would yell "play some hendrix!"?

I said this in another thread a while back. Everyone was complaining about always talking, well this bitch told her listeners she did not care what they think, her daddy is the boss. Another time, people were blasting her because she was singing all the time. If you think her talking is bad, her singing makes seals seek the sweet death of polar beers. Once again, she sung that she don't care, she will sing when she wants.

I had it on that channel a few weeks ago and Morello came on between songs and was talking about raising money for a convicted cop killer. He’s especially dangerous because he has such an official, rational sounding voice. A true wolf in sheep’s clothing.

She's terrible.

Why do they have any talking between songs at all? What do they add?

I like Madison. I also like Morello when he's talking music. Has some great stories and is a great guitarist. He's also the whitest black guy of all time.

I liked his show when it first came out, but its awful now. I think he just rant out of music to play.

I don't hate Morello. He gets political from but he rarely shoves it down your throat. He at least has a foundation in the music industry so he can knowledgeable talk certain aspects of it from his personal experience. Plus his mom being on air is awesome

Turned off XM/Sirus long ago, if I am paying for music I don't want to hear anybody talking. ABOUT ANYTHING. Went to Pandora Prime and have never looked back. It is also cheaper.

I try to keep politics and music separate — you’ll be very disappointed if you expect any/many conservative rock musicians from the 90s. And they are just as bad as Hollywood when it comes to forcing their agenda and cancel culture.

Take Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys. Ok, more of a decade earlier guy, but he’s been very vocal on satellite radio and social media. He calls Trump supporters “Nazis”. I don’t think he completely understands what he is saying. And this guy is revered by punk kids and older punks as being some sort of intellectual and mouthpiece for society.

Spotify and pod casts have destroyed any remaining love I had for Sirius. It’s just too easy to listen to what you want and especially what you want minus the commentary.

It’s like people just don’t want to be helped. I just don’t get it. It’s easily the best thing ever invented for music. People cannot give up their old traditions and just pay ten bucks a month.

I like most of his music. But where was RATM's "F you I won't do what you tell me" when the powers that be were forcing people to stay in their homes and shutter their businesses over something that was essentially harmless to 99.5% of the population?

I listen to Chill (channel 53) which is downbeat electronica and deep house (it's the kind of music you hear playing in the lobby of a trendy like the W) for at least 12 hours a day when I'm working from home and so far they've been pretty great. Sometimes they have guest DJ's on who work shite into their vocals, but it's rare and tolerable.

I would be crushed if Chill became more "woke". It's very European-centric so thankfully BLM isn't as big in that culture.
