Since we are cancelling anything tied to Confederates

Yup, that's right. Coca-cola was founded by none other than John Stith Pemberton, Lt. Col. CSA.
But seriously, where do we draw the line? History isn't meant to be PC and it will never be. It was what it was at the time. And at the time, slavery was the norm. Doesn't mean it was right.
Nobody here is saying slavery was right. But if you want change, looking at you BLM, tearing down statues isn't going to open the eyes of those you need to reach. It only alienates them and angers them. And if you think meaningful change is going to happen without a white/Hispanic/black/etc. coalition, you're very naive.

Had an argument on FB with a friend today who wanted Ft. Benning's name changed to Ft. Sherman in honor of William T. Sherman. One of his friends (part native American) had already liked the post and chimed in. I had to respond with "you mean the William T. Sherman who, after the Civil War, headed west and began slaughtering Indians wholesale, systematically eradicating their food supply to starve them, then forcing the ones he hadn't managed to kill or starve onto reservations?"
