What’s unbelievable about it? Did you miss the Facebook Russia disinfo hissy fit following 2016? Did you miss the widespread reporting prior to the election that the entire IC was calling the laptop Russian disinformation?

There’s nothing remotely unbelievable about this. But if you insist on white knighting for the left, you’ve painted yourself into a corner. Either the feds “influenced” the election by colluding with big tech, or big tech did it on their own. This behavior is the end of democracy according to democrats just 2 years ago. What’s changed?

Humorous.

Yep. Either the feds colluded with tech or tech did it in their own. Either way, an election was fricked with. Dems once said that was bad and was prepared to unseat a duly elected president over it.

If Zuckerberg said it, it is subject to question.

Why are you asking me to defend positions that I have never taken and/or arguments that I have never made?

Very odd.

I am not concerned about semantics. You have already stated the OP is not correct in his title. I have moved beyond that discussion point.

What is correct? And why is it acceptable for a federal agency to approach a social media outlet and request assistance? And for that social media outlet to adjust their practices in order to accommodate them?

You can disagree with what the OP asserted. But the central element of the argument has not been resolved.

And the FBI is somehow more trustworthy? They went out in the news media and openly howled this disinformation excuse prior to the election, but thinking they did this with social media too is a bridge too far?

Tacit defense is still a defense. Attacking the “other side” constantly is a remarkably effective defense, even when you never verbally endorse a particular side.

It’s your entire Schtick on here. We’re not as stupid as you wish we were.

He can take the whole Russia collusion narrative on face value, but this, he needs a handwritten note, by three different people, with it notarized by the president.

What the frick are you babbling about? I said from the beginning that Trump was not “colluding” with Russia.

This is just ANOTHER example of the way that you dimwits attribute EVERYTHING that you dislike to anyone who disagrees with you on ANYTHING. Idiots.

I have no idea what you are talking about since you didn't cite a source, but I will note that the FBI director was a guy who (checks notes) TRUMP APPOINTED

I am up 70-0, and you want me to “take the L” because you are too stupid to read the scoreboard.

Did the FBI sit on the story?

It's interesting that your line of thinking doesn't come to a screeching halt right here. That's because I take you for a pretty bright guy, which is why your wishy-washy way here is instructive.

quote:

If ranking FBI personnel DID nix the investigation with an intent to assist Biden OR to hurt Trump, he should answer for it.

You're going out on a limb on this one, Hank. You're saying that if the FBI broke the f'n law, then someone should pay. Congrats.

Now how about answering the question I asked. It takes connecting dots, weighing some probabilities - you know, the sort of thing rational adults do all the time. So again -

Do you believe the FBI interfered with the 2020 election by suppressing the Biden laptop?

You want me to draw conclusions when I do not believe there to be enough data points.

Y’all are all-too-willing to do that on any given issue. I am not.

Well, your compatriots insisted that I would not only “accept, but also “applaud,” such behavior.

Zuckeberger - The FBI told us there was going to be a big data dump. Be vigilant.

In your estimation, is that appropriate for the FBI to do?

Zuckeberger - We used third party fact checking.

Who was this third party fact check? How could they have checked an active investigation and determined it was misinformation?

Zuckeberger - During the five to seven days it was being determined to be true or false, distribution was decreased.

Is this the role of a social media outlet? To determine based on information from a federal agency and a third party fact checker whether something is true or false and decrease distribution accordingly?

In an earlier post you essentially said you agree/believe that the FBI suppressed the laptop. What else do you need to know before you conclude that the FBI interfered in the election?

He's going to need them to explain how they hacked into each individual machine, listing their serial numbers, and have the whole text notarized.

The FBI goes on a news media junket prior to the election, falsely declaring the laptop story “Russian disinformation”.

Mark Zuckerberg says they did the same thing with Facebook.
