Simple question - isn't it illegal to employ illegal aliens?

If true then how are any able to afford to remain here?

Don't we see stories all the time about companies getting fined and executives going to jail for that very thing?

I'm missing something.

It's illegal to sell drugs and there are plenty of drug dealers around.

no, you are not seeing CEO's do jail time for that. if they were, it would end.

Simple solution, start deporting CEOs who hire illegals. That shite will end real quick.

Labor Wranglers set up shell companies (yes, here in BR too) where they issue their illegal employees subcontract agreements just like a Real Estate company does with their agents.

So, then the illegal is responsible for remitting his/her own taxes. Problem is they don't file and the IRS can't keep track of them and it is essentially unenforced.

The labor companies get picked off every few years for tax evasion and then a new one pops back up under a new name with the same people.

From the GC side, they are just hiring another subcontractor.

In and around BR I would estimate half of all Spanish workers on any construction site are illegal. The other half are legal or have temp VISA's where they actually pay taxes even though they aren't citizens. It costs several thousand dollars to get a lawyer to get through that program and become "legal".

If they are serious about stoping this then it should stop at the bank/check cashing center. No SSN, no cashing checks. We would have to have better ID and E verify for that to work though.

Drive anywhere around Austin/San Antonio where there is a residential or commercial development and and you will see them piled in the back of Pick-ups or standing in large groups at the entrance. Day laborers, they are illegal, but it goes deeper than that. Contractors hire them to do specialized work which is supposed to be done by licensed Tradespeople, Electricians, Plumbing, HVAC. It's devastated the trades around this area. When you have Developers in the pockets of Politicians who believe in Leftist social engineering no will will do anything about it. This area of Central Texas is apathetic to do anything about it, Republicans or Democrats.

Some have false documents. Others are paid cash under the table. Some operate as unlicensed contractors (when you hire someone to fix your roof or clean your house there usually isn't a legal obligation for you to verify they can legally work)

It is illegal to hire them. That's how we know that it rarely, if ever, happens.

It is also illegal for an illegal alien to vote, so we know it also rarely ever occurs...

It doesn't help that under Obama, the EEOC actively worked against employers who diligently checked.

The penalty for doing so was worse than just looking the other way and the US Government really didn't give a frick about the latter.

He didn't have to.

He simply used the EEOC to effectively gut it

It's quite simple.

An American cleaning lady wants $15 per hour to clean my house. My Mexican cleaning lady wants $9 per hour.

An American company wanted $6,000 for my new roof. The Mexicans in the home depot parking lot did it for $3,500.

Plus, I love latina pussy. So they can stay.

If all of the OT ballers that supposedly populate this board are being honest, hell I'd say 70% of us employ illegals. Cast the first stone!

A close relative of mine is a CEO of a company that has nothing but Mexicans working production in his plant. I asked him if they're legal and he said "if they pass E-verify I ask no further questions, but I am sure many of them have fake ID's and fake SSN's. Every now and then I will get a call from the government that so-in-so is using a fake SSN, so I just fire him and move on to the next guy."

So, yeah, even those that pass E-verify are sometimes illegals. Fake ID's and fake SSN's are easy to get and there's a "network" out there helping these guys obtain both. They're clever, too, because they usually steal SSN's from Latino people who are here legally (obviously a Mexican named "John B. Smith" probably ain't gonna fly. So, he will steal Pedro Martinez's SSN).

The lesson I learned is that they are fricking over the legal immigrants as much as anyone because it is the legal immigrants who are having their ID's stolen. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why some legal Latinos like Trump.
