because 90% of what the American media engages in, focuses on and reports is RAT POISON
Trump absolutely gets it & that is a big part of why he will win a 2nd term and why republicans we will have a larger majority in the senate after the '18 elections
funny part is, by most accounts ole Nick is a bleeding heart left winger
spot on about the media though...

As a West Virginian, you are likely right.
He's probably a tad left of center but that shouldn't be surprising since he's been surrounded by African American youths his whole career.
He likely has some understanding of their needs and difficulties.
I highly doubt he's a BLMer.
ETA: A WV democrat is far from a NYC, LA or Pacific Northwest democrat.

You totally missed the point of his rat poison comment. Yes, he hates the media, but not exactly for the same reasons as Trump. The media "poisons" his team by hyping up his team to a level that puts a lot of pressure on his players. It's kind of a dumb argument because that isn't the media's fault. If his players can't handle the pressure then they are weak-minded and poorly coached.
He's not talking about "fake news."
He's not talking about "fake news."

Lord knows he doesn't put any pressure on the the team.

Bleeding heart left-wingers don't believe in hard work and no handouts.
Saban believes in working hard and taking responsibility for yourself.
He also gives tons of money to charity, which lefties don't do either. Nick's Kids has raised millions of dollars and Saban has helped build 16 houses in T-Town which have been given away through Habitat For Humanity.
He also donated millions of dollars for a Catholic Student Center which just opened last year.
He might be an old school D, but he is certainly not a welfare loving, give handouts to everyone, gubment should take care of me, leftist America hating scumbag.

If he can get his approval ratings out of the 30s, you might be right. The problem is, Trump's not nearly as popular anymore throughout the rest of the country, as he is on this board. You need to get out a little

If Bama players are poorly coached then what does that say about L6U?

If the left keeps running out angry SJWs for office then his approval rating won't matter as much.
Independents don't want to hear that shite.

Which means he's a far right wing Conservative Republican by today's democrat party standards

no I didn't

um, well, yeah
do you disagree that the media peddles "rat poison" that tears the country apart?
do you agree that they have an agenda?
cuz, if not, I can't help you...

I didn't say they were as a whole or at all really. I also said "either." I don't doubt that Saban tells his players to not read all the crap out out there, but that's about all he can do. I think most college players will watch and read (if they can) any news about themselves.

Opinion polls mean nothing here. Not because of the result, but because they are asking the wrong question as far as a 2020 election goes. The question isn't do you think Trump is doing a good job. The question that is relevant is do you think Trump is doing a better job than whatever uberliberal the Democratic party is going to nominate in 2020 will do. There are going to be a lot of people who answer no to the first question who are going to answer yes to the second question.
