quote:

Schumer announced on Monday that he is sending McConnell a copy of a letter the Republican wrote in 2009 outlining “standards” for President Obama’s Cabinet nominees. In a speech on the Senate floor and a tweet in which he shared a handwritten version of the letter with McConnell’s signature crossed out, Schumer suggested he is trying to show his requests are “reasonable.”

Not at all. It's a lot more fun attacking an incompetent administration than having to defend one

I seem to recall many, many complaints about "ramming things through..." in 08. I'm sure those same people will make the same principled stances now.

These comments are interesting because the opposite nearly always works against those making the statements.

I'm sure those opposing the new administration's actions on here opposed the Democrats "ramming things through".

There is little consistency in party politics.

This is something the Trumpkins are beginning to understand. They keep reposting the "young Turks melt" and rehashing Obama's greatest mistakes over and over...the low hanging fruit is gone. Now they actually have to defend their guy. And their guy is Donald Trump

Losing and complaining about any any everything (like the color of a suit) is MUCH easier than defending every sub-optimal situation on the planet.

McConnell learned the error of his ways and is now using the sound and traditional dem standards. He probably appreciates Shumer and Co. for the education on proper procedure.

Where's my Morgan Freeman meme with the "he's right you know"

However...we don't know if Trump will suck balls like the last 4 guys...
Obama's administration was a train wreck, Arab Spring/ISIS being the worst hatched plan ever in foreign policy...surpassing Iraq, Vietnam, Iran and DPRK nuke deals...just ehhh
